The CTC team in Henley-On-Thames are gearing up to host the first Electric Bicycle Network in the Chilterns! Chiltern Valley Winery have joined the Electric Bicycle Network. Henley is already a real hub for tourists and there is a strong network of businesses there to cater for them. The network is aimed at increasing the number of cycle users in the town and lead to a much wider change in transport and leisure behaviours.
"We’re very excited to have a Network in Henley" said CTC Electric Bicycle Network coordinator, Anna Cipullo. The Electric Bicycle Network in the town is one of 8 in the UK, and will give thousands of people a new opportunity to enjoy the freedom of cycling within the Chiltern’s beautiful scenery. The bikes offer an electric powered boost to those who don’t feel fit or confident enough to tackle a bike ride unassisted and they certainly make light work of any hills along the way.
Anna Cipullo CTC Electric Bike Network Co-ordinator said " Three businesses have already signed up with more on the way where you will be able to lease electric bicycles by the end of June 2013." Henley Cycles, The Swiss Farm International Campsite and The Chilterns Valley Winery are the first three businesses locally to join the network.
