1st Henley Guides will be delivering Christmas cards within Henley this December. Each card will cost you 20p to be delivered and the money raised will be added to the fund for a trip to Switzerland in August 1914.  The cards will be delivered on Saturday 14th December and if you can’t make Friday 6th please email guideshenley@gmail.com to arrange collection.

If you would like the Guides to deliver your cards bring them along to the Guide stall at the Henley Christmas Festival on Friday 6th December.  We will be sited almost near the Town Hall on the road side of the Market Place.

As well as collecting the Christmas cards for delivery the girls have been busy making things to sell. On offer will be some very cute candy cane Reindeer, marshmallow snowmen, gift tags & tree decorations all made by the Guides.

1st Henley Guides will be visiting Adelboden in Switzerland next August. Adelboden is the home of Our Chalet, one of the four World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) World Centres.  We will be staying in the village rather than Our Chalet itself but a visit is definitely in our Itinerary.  The trip is part of our celebrations to celebrate 100 years of 1st Henley Guides, our actual Birthday is December 2014.  The girls, or rather their parents, are paying for the transport, accommodation and food but we are fundraising for the activities we want to take part in.
