Henley-on-Thames is a lovely place to live and work but it is also a fabulous place to hold your wedding. The scenery and of course the River Thames provide a picturesque backdrop to the most important day of your life.  The Best of Henley-on-Thames features a number of Wedding Venues that will provide a memorable and special day for you and your guests.

Badgemore Park Golf Club is an attractive setting just outside the town. Once you book your wedding you are assigned a staff member who will help you plan your day from conception until the end.  Badgemore offer a bespoke service to create the day of your dreams. You will have menu tastings with the chef as well as the opportunity to provide your own table settings and music if you wish.  Last year the venue hosted 26 weddings all with positive feedback.  This venue also has a civil ceremony licence enabling you to do everything including saying “I do”

Due to limited availability Weddings at Henley aren’t able to offer a wide choice of dates on which to get married, of course this adds a certain exclusivity to this wedding venue.  Set in a stunning riverside position there is plenty of opportunity for photographs. As Greenlands is on the river there is an opportunity to include a boat into your day. Wedding parties can arrive and leave by boat either as just the couple or the whole lot, which makes it quite fun and gives guests a chance to see more of Henley too.

Perhaps you would like to hold your whole Wedding reception on a boat. Another member of the Best of Henley can make that dream come true for you. Hobbs of Henley has several large boats equipped for a wedding reception afloat.

For an even more unusual wedding venue the River and Rowing Museum have facilities both for large scale weddings or more intimate affairs. As well as the Thames room with views across the river and meadows you can also hold your reception in the Rowing gallery with its artefacts from Rowings’ history.  As it is your wedding the museum can provide a bespoke service using a variety of rooms as well.

The Olde Bell Hotel is situated about 5 miles from Henley in the picturesque riverside village of Hurley. Wedding Receptions can be held in the Tithe barn or Victorian Malt House. Both these venues also have a civil ceremony licence.

Whichever venue you choose the focus is on providing you with a day to remember and I hope you agree with us that the wedding venues we feature in and around Henley-on-Thames start off by being a little bit special themselves.
