The Sue Ryder Big Wigs Business Challenge

October 2011 – February 2012

The Big Wigs Business Challenge is in its sixth year, it is an established corporate challenge which is a rewarding, cost effective personal development and team building tool.

Grow a £50 note

The aim of the challenge is simple. On Thursday September 15th we will give you a £50.00 note.

Your challenge is to make it grow as much as possible, over four months.

A team at Oracle Corporation took on the Big Wigs Business Challenge when they became aware of the fantastic services that Sue Ryder provides for people with life limiting conditions including Cancer. “We felt the Big Wigs Business Challenge was the perfect avenue to have fun while adding as much value to a charity that is very close to our hearts. Our goal is to highlight the wonderful work Sue Ryder do whilst obtaining as much funding as possible to ensure more people can benefit from such assistance during their time of need.”

The Fine & Country offices organised cake bakes, along with an impressive black tie Ball at the Hilton Hotel in Reading. Amanda Evans “The Big Wigs Business Challenge was a fun way of raising money and encouraged team work in our two offices. Sue Ryder is an amazing charity which needs all the support it can get.”

Four Awards to be won

There are Four Awards to be won which will be presented on Thursday 16th February 2012 at the Hotel Du Vin, Henley.  These include Charity Entrepreneur of the Year, for the company or individual who raises the most; The Most Innovative Idea Award, The Most Inspiring Individual Award and The Teamwork Award.

Frances Harputlu from Zurich, took to the skies for a sponsored Tandem Skydive for Big Wigs. “I am so glad to be part of the Big Wigs Business Challenge for Sue Ryder. I doubt I would ever have participated in a sky dive if it hadn't been as part of this Challenge, so it’s not only an achievement in terms of the money we raised, but for me, personally, as well. Knowing there were so many people behind me made the jump an easy one.”
