This week I am off to the annual Woking Means Business exhibition.
The free one day event is a great opportunity to network with new contacts and catch up with current ones alongside attending stands and seminars to listen, learn and be inspired.
And as much as I embrace communicating via modern technology (where would we all be without email and Twitter) nothing beats face to face interaction with real people in the real world. Particularly if a free glass of wine is on offer too – thanks B Websites, I’m looking forward to mine already!
This time last year my company – Claire Dee Communications – was only a month old and due to my corporate City background I knew very few people in the Surrey business community. I therefore attended Woking Means Business to change this and make a difference and thanks to the warm welcome and energetic atmosphere I was able to do just that.
