The Ramada Guildford and the Ramada Farnham have teamed up with three other hotels in its umbrella group to raise money for the charity When You Wish Upon A Star. This great charity makes wishes come true for children with life threatening and terminal illnesses, giving them and their families the chance to have a once-in-a-lifetime, magical experience together; creating happy memories of the time they shared.
The hotels raised £5,000 in 2012 with staff raising funds through donating cloakroom takings, holding tribute night and even rowing a total of 215 miles (the length of the River Thames) on rowing machines in the hotel lobbies! They are hoping to raise a further £8,000 in 2013 which will provide enough money for 10 children from the When You Wish Upon A Star charity and their families to have a trip to Lapland.
