Celebrate Christmastime at Sandown at the Tingle Creek Christmas Festival! This annual event taking place on 8 December and is packed with Christmas fun. Your visit will start with a sleigh ride from Esher station and you'll arrive at Sandown for a Christmassy family day - visit Santa's grotto, take part in the Christmas fancy dress competition, listen to carols performed by the New London Singers and shop in the Hi Life Christmas Show Market. Ian Whybrow, children's author behind Harry and the Bucketful of Dinosaurs, will be there and you'll also get the chance for a pantomime which this year is Sleeping Beauty.
There is racing all afternoon with the day's title race, the Sportingbet Tingle Creek Steeple Chase at 3.05pm when favourites Sprinter Sacre and Sanctuaire compete in what should be a very exciting race. (If you fancy a flutter but don't want to expose your little ones to gambling just yet, there is a complimentary creche!)
