The Guildford Lido is thrilled to announce that it is now open for the summer until September. The historic 50m swimming pool is located near Guildford College and offers open air swimming for everyone. As the Lido was first opened in 1933, this is the eightieth year it’s been open for public swimming. This anniversary will be officially marked on 21 June when there’ll be an opening ceremony followed by a picnic and wonderful 30s music from the Jazz and Swing Band. 22 June sees the Lido en fete for a huge family celebration! Tickets are priced at £5 (under 16s free) and are available from the Lido.
Other exciting news from the Lido is that three flumes will be installed this summer, bringing even more fun to what is already a much loved Guildford institution.
