Natural Burials in the Guildford area – open day at Clandon Wood
20th June 2013

Many of us are aware that natural burials exist but not why someone might choose to have one or how to go about arranging it.

Natural burials embrace the principle of disposing of the departed in a responsible way, putting them back into the earth and into a place managed specifically to benefit wildlife. The pace of a natural burial is slower than that of a conventional funeral, aiming to give those left behind time to reflect and feel at peace, even in such a sad time.

If you’re interested in finding out more, Clandon Wood Natural Burial Reserve in the Surrey Hills is holding an open day this weekend. Visitors will be shown round the burial reserve and even introduced to the horses as Clandon Wood’s team share what is beautiful and thoughtful about natural burial.

Friday 21 June (tomorrow) is the press day and starts at 10am. Please call Simon Ferrar on 01483 479 614 to book your place.

Saturday 22 June is a family open day! All are welcome; again, please call Simon to book on 01483 479 614 for catering purposes .

Please park at the FREE Merrow Park and Ride car park and you will be picked up by shuttle bus and taken to Clandon Wood.

The Clandon Wood Natural Burial Reserve Open Day promises to be full of fun and music and Simon is looking forward to welcoming you.
