Insatiable appetite for ecommerce

Earlier this week I attended the inaugural BIG eCommerce Conference in Woking hosted by Surrey business b:web.

The one day event had a full-to-bursting schedule of speakers, seminars and workshops covering all things relevant for those embracing the online ecommerce world.  From transforming your email marketing, to sealing the deal online, and how best to tweet, blog and video your messages.

Given this was its first year, organiser and b:web managing director Zoe Brown was unsure how big the demand would be for such an event.  There proved, however, to be an insatiable appetite for ecommerce with around 70 attendees from companies as far and wide as Manchester and the US.

“The conference was a huge success,” said Zoe.  “It was great fun to work on and I’m delighted we attracted such a diverse mix of people and organisations both within and outside of Surrey.”

“The overall trend of the day was most definitely social media and the fact content is king.  And not only did people learn new things, they also had current ideas clarified and verified.  Personally, I learnt a lot.”

Such was the success of The BIG eCommerce Conference 2012, the team is already planning 2013.
