Horses and hospitality in Guilford?

Well no, we don't have a racecourse here in Guildford, but guess what! Sandown Park is only a few miles up the road in Esher - it's really easy to get to, has pletiful parking and make a great escape from suburbia if you fancy a bit of fresh air and an exhilarating day out.

Whether you have a penchant for gambling or not, Nothing beats the exhilaration of a small flutter on your favourite and thunder of hooves and they bear down on you.

Winter is generally a time for wrapping up and staying indoors, especially recently with all the snow, but ... why not shake off the 'cabin fever' and visit Sandown on the 8th January?

32RED HURDLE DAY - is the first meeting of 2011 and provides some excellent jump racing including the legendary Tolworth Hurdle .. now called the 32RED Hurdle race - a Grade 1 fixture.

Former victors include Desert Orchid and Monsignor.
