Halloween Fun in Guildford

Halloween falls on the half term hump day this year and there are lots of Halloween activities going on around Guildford for young and old alike!

At the Watts Gallery in Compton, you can make scary monoprint masks inspired by Victorian gargoyles.

Haslemere Educational Museum has family fun in the afternoon with pumpkin lantern carving and a Hallowe'en procession through the town. In the evening, there's ghostly storytelling at 7pm - over twelves only, they tell me, which says something about the scariness of the stories, I reckon!

A stage adaptation of Rumpelstiltskin is taking place at the Harlequin Theatre in Redhill while White Lion Walk in Guildford is holding a FREE Creepy Crawly day with a chance to handle all sorts of beasties including spiders, lizards and snakes!

There's more spooky storytelling at Shalford Mill, and you can wear your Halloween costumes too! Winkworth Arboretum has a special Hallowe'en trail planned and you can bring your own pumpkin along to carve into a lantern.

Happy Halloween!
