If you're looking for something a bit different to do with you children this half term, have you thought about a day at the Holistic Horse and Pony Centre?
The Centre aims to provide as natural an environment as possible for its horses; some of the methods include mirroring wild grazing by allowing the horses constant access to hay, letting many of the horses go without horseshoes and, where possible using natural therapies to treat the animals.
On Monday, there is a full day of pony fun for children, a lovely chance for them to get used to being around horses and ponies. They'll not only get the opportunity to ride but also to have a go at tacking up, grooming and mucking out. Just like having your very own pony! £55
Wednesday offers a shorter session suitable for 4-7year olds, similar to the Monday one but only for half a day. £33
