Guildford Borough Council has announced that ‘G Live’ looks set to be the name of Guildford's new 1,000-seat entertainment venue.

The name is being put forward for approval by the council's executive this week (Thursday 27 January).

What do you think?  Good, bad or indifferent?  We’d love to hear your thoughts.

Cllr Tony Rooth, leader of the council, comments:

"G Live is a contemporary, forward looking name that reflects this fantastic state-of-the-art building that has live entertainment at its heart.  Naming the venue is an exciting milestone which takes us a step closer to the opening of this great new facility for the local community this autumn."

The venue will be operated on behalf of Guildford Borough Council by HQ Theatres, which already provides quality entertainment, dining, conferencing and banqueting opportunities at eight venues in the south of England.
