The New Haw and Woodham Midsummer Event will soon be upon us - hope you've got it in your diary for 23rd and 24th June! This is a wonderful family event with lots of things for the children: a funfair, pony rides, bouncy castle, soft play and face painting to name a but a few!

We are also thrilled that some of the local children are actually getting involved through their schools and the scout troop.

The Fullbrook School Band will be performing on Saturday afternoon. Fullbrook is a New Haw school specialising in maths and science...but that doesn't get in the way of music! This school knows all about community with pupils really understanding the part they are going to play in contributing to local life - thats why they're part of the Midsummer Event!

Also making a delightful contribution is the choir from the Grange Community Infant School who will be performing at the end of the afternoon.  This school already gives a lot to the community by giving up part of their grounds to the local Sure Start Centre and it's wonderful that they are going to be at the Midsummer Event too! We can't wait to hear the school choir perform on 23rd June.

The 2nd New Haw Scout Group are in charge of catering! Campfire food will, for Midsummer only, be cooked on a barbecue (but no toasted marshmallows - sorry!) and tea, coffee and candy floss will also be available.

The New Haw and Woodham Midsummer Event will be held on 23rd and 24th June at Heathervale Park - a great weekend for everyone!
