Countryside Day will feature some exhilarating National Hunt action as well as a whole host of complimentary ‘country pursuit’ activities, including pony rides and a petting farm, and demonstrations.
Demonstrations and activities on offer include:-
Falconry and Birds of Prey display with 10 different birds displayed
The Quack Pack run by Meirion and his sheep dog, along with a little help from his pack of Indian Runner Ducks. They aim to showcase the amazing talents of Border Collies and the communication between handler and his dog. His demonstrations are informative, educational and highly entertaining whilst also being interactive, allowing hands-on participation.
Lains Shooting School and Mullenscote Dog Training Centre is based in Andover and run by Howard Kirby. Howard competes with his Gundogs and took home the 2014 Hunt Point Retriever Championships with one of his German Long Haired Pointers. Howard will be coming along with his team of gun dogs to demonstrate a variety of dog training techniques and tips, that can be applied to puppy’s right up to advanced Gundogs.
