Comedy at the New Victoria near Guildford
11th February 2013

2013 promises to be a great year for comedy at the New Victoria Theatre in Woking! February offers up Maurice's Jubilee  which  is a lovely tale of an elderly jeweller's hopes to be reunited with the Queen and the Crown Jewels - will the octogenarian live to see the Jubilee? The play delighted audiences at the Edinburgh Festival and is sure to delight the good people of Surrey too.

June welcomes Sean Locke and Jimmy Carr to Woking, both from 8 Out of Ten Cats but each with their own brand of humour.

Sean Lock - who grew up in Woking, by the way - brings us Purple Van Man, like a White Van Man only, um, purple; a foray into a sometimes surreal world of observational humour.

Jimmy Carr offers up Gagging Order, a combination of hilarity, boundary pushing and putting the audience in their place.
