Charity Fireworks Display in Guildford

This year's 5th November Stoke Park fireworks are being organised by the Guildford Lions with proceeds being donated to four local charities. The event is free but visitors are asked to donate £2 each. 

 

Disability Challengers provides playschemes and support for children with disabilities and their families.

 

The Prostate Project is raising money to fund a new urology unit at the Royal Surrey County Hospital

 

Guildford Action is a charity set up to support unemployed people but which has recently extended its scope to offer help to all those in disadvantaged positions including homelessness.

 

KatCanDo is a cancer charity providing resources related to cancer that are not automatically provided by the NHS. 

 

The evening's events begin in Guildford High Street at 6.45pm with the selling of toches at the Guildhall. The Mayor of Guildford will make his address at 7.30pm and the torchlit procession will leave the High Street at 7.45pm, arriving at Stoke Park at approximately 8.15pm. Beacon lighting will take place at 8.25pm and the fireworks at 8.30pm.
