Charity ball with a twist

Surrey business Back2workmum is supporting two charities by organising a local black tie ball with a twist – instead of the obligatory ball gown, female guests are invited to wear their wedding dresses.

The event is being held on Saturday 9 October 2010 at the Hilton Cobham Hotel in Cobham, Surrey.  Tickets are £50 each and include a welcome drink, three course meal, disco and charity auction.

Money raised will go to Meningitis UK in memory of Gillian Redman and her baby daughter Grace whom Gillian was pregnant with when she died of the disease six years ago.  Gillian was a friend and former colleague of Back2workmum owner and founder Naz Lewis.  A donation will also be made to Born Too Soon which offers support to parents with babies being cared for on the Neonatal Unit at Kingston Hospital where Gillian’s first child, nine-year-old Tom, spent many weeks.

Now in its third year, previous wedding dress charity balls have attracted over 200 guests and generous raffle prizes from local companies so if you are a local business who would like to donate a prize for the charity auction Naz would be delighted to hear from you, or perhaps you would prefer to show your support by hosting a company table for your clients and colleagues.

Tickets are selling fast.  To reserve yours call 01932 589943 or email naz@back2workmum.co.uk

I hope to see you there where I will be giving my wedding dress a very welcome second airing!
