The Guildford Fringe Theatre Company, always keen to approach theatre in a different way, are offering their audiences not only a play, but also a pint and a pasty! Jolly good thinking, that. A pint (or a glass of wine or a soft drink) and a pasty (yes, there are veggie ones too!) are included in the price of your ticket – the “pre-dinner dining” pressure is finally off!
The first play to be “served” in this way is Owls in the Moss, the debut work from actor Arvid Larsen. A thriller, the action centres on Jon and Helen, a couple celebrating the success of Jon’s play with a holiday to his family’s cottage in Norway. But their relationship is put to the test and their trip becomes a nightmare after they meet Fred, a psychotherapist staying in the neighbouring cottage.
Owls in the Moss will be performed at the Starr Inn on Quarry Street in Guildford from Tuesday 9 to Saturday 13 April with performances at 7.30pm each night.
