Nous venons de rentrer de nos vacances d'une semaine dans ce bel hôtel. Avec un charme un peu désuet mais très luxueux, nous avons passé un excellent séjour. Leur plus grand atout au OGH est l'ensemble de l'équipe, que se soit en salle, au service, à la réception ou à l'étage, tous sont incroyablement gentil, souriant et serviable. Ils aiment leurs métiers et cela se sent, c'est tellement agréable 😁. Grâce à eux nous nous sommes senti comme chez nous 🥰, MERCI A TOUS. Pour nous avoir tout particulièrement choyé avec beaucoup d'attentions et de professionnalisme, nous remercions Kris (notre sauveur en taxi 😊), Alessandro (Grazie mille per la vostra gentilezza), Shaminee (Miss Gruyère 😋) , Byron (Lord Byron pour nous 😉), Pamela, Juana, Roberto et tant d'autres 🤩. Nous quittons votre famille avec le cœur pleins de bons souvenirs, MERCI, THANK YOU VERY MUCH, GRAZIE MILLE. That the help my wife received on arrival as she needed the stair lift. The assistant got her into into it and showed her how to operate it both on going up and on the way down. We were aloud to make our own choice,

Beautiful hotel, staff couldn't be more helpful nothing was too much trouble for them, great location beautiful grounds, rooms always spotless. We've been to a few hotels on the island but this is by far the best and our favourite.

We have stayed a number of times now, and we are never disappointed.
All the staff are absolutely wonderful and do a fantastic job.
The rooms are lovely and comfortable.
The breakfast and main restaurant serve some beautiful food.

The hotel is fine but is located some distance from St. Peter Port. We had their best suite and this came with its own garden and jacuzzi. What wasn't made clear was the lack of privacy as both were overlooked from above. The service from staff was generally good, but the hotel is large and mostly empty even during the summer months and so can feel a little impersonal. My wife and I prefer the Old Government Hotel and I would rate that as the best hotel in the Channel Islands.

Delivery was on time and professional, the drivers that delivered to us saw that we were removing a double bed base and helped us get it down the stairs, then also offered to get rid of it for us. New bed is good and no damage from transit.
