I choose to stay at the St Pierre Park Hotel over the Christmas period. The hotels staff are their outstanding asset !! I’ve never met much such a happy bunch, everyone of them had time to talk and continue effortlessly with their tasks.
The food is first class and plentiful. The maitre’d Vlad is charming and has a great team of professional hard working staff. The bar staff are all excellent and attentive especially the ambidextrous Olly.
My bedroom was spacious and kept immaculate by housekeeping.
The spa has recently been ungraded and is impressive. The public areas are well presented.
Should I have the opportunity to return to Guernsey I will definitely stay at this hotel again.

From check in to departure we couldn't ask for anything much better.
All of the staff were very welcoming and friendly throughout our 4 day stay.
The room was very good with a very clean and modern en-suite.
Our tea and coffee facilities were well stocked and replenished every day.
The restaurant was very good and the food served very promptly with the buffets having a very good selection.
Christmas Day lunch was a magnificent buffet with a large choice of all the courses.
Would not hesitate to go back so perhaps a visit during the summer months will be planned.

Very deceptive from the outside, looks like a pub/club with regular live music and a garden at the rear, well it is all that but on one side at the front is a great little restaurant providing a good variety of excellent food, the room is a good place for friends, small family party etc. the staff are friendly and attentive

I've been here so many times, that I thought I might be able to balance some good and not so good comments in a review, but I just can't - this place has been brilliant from the first time I came here to the last time I was there, and I'm looking forward to going back next Tuesday.
The pub itself is a traditional setup with most of the dining area inside but they do have two small outdoor areas where you could eat.
It's the food we go for as it has always been so good. Tuesday night is steak night and I'll challenge anyone to find a better cooked one ...! There's usually a group of us choosing every combination from rare sirloin to well cooked fillet (which should be banned in my opinion) but each time, every dish is brought to the table together, perfectly cooked and always by staff who are happy and friendly.
We also come in on other nights and the main menu, summer menu and other specials nights (Wednesday for beer and burger and Thursday for Tapas) are just as good. I think by now we've tried most dishes and I've never heard any negative comments, from some picky eaters too...!
The beer selection is good, as are the spirits but most of all, it's the welcome from all the staff at The Doghouse which makes it such an easy place to return too.
I've not yet been in on a weekend but they have live music and from what I hear - it's very good. All in definitely a favourite place to eat of mine. I really have nothing but great experiences from this place. You won't be disappointed.

The food here is great value and very tasty, nice dining area away from the bar. The staff are very friendly and helpful. My husband had the tastiest beef burger ever, he wanted to return the following day to try the chicken espertada after tasting a little of mine.
