Never been here with live music playing however it is a great place to relax, read papers & enjoy the beer garden when it's sunny. Drinks slightly overpriced for the location (I assume aimed at music going crowd). Be aware price differentials between menu & till prices. Think though understated the pulled pork dish here is delightful & decent portion for price. Do try the food if you get chance. Understand in June they will be opening later : 4 pm which is a shame as lunch goers will miss out.

From the outside looks like a dodgy pub, but pleasantly surprised once inside. Friendly helpful staff, good service and food at reasonable prices

Spent an evening here, staff were very pleasant, lots of areas around to sit with high and low tables and the food was good.

we turned up late ish (about 8.30pm), just by passing, the pub had live music warming up to play, we asked if they still done food, as the restaurant part was completely empty, we ordered food and when we received our meals, wow, they were delicious, very large portions, and drinks were BOGOF, as it was a Thursday evening, such good value for money and looked very popular with number of guests in bar area, lots of different singers on throughout the week, but unfortunately did not go back due to our short visit to the island, but will go again sometime in near future

Great Hotel in a good position close to St Peter Port, although we ate out on a couple of occasions, their was really no need as the bar and Pavillion Restaurant serve 1st class food. Hotel facilties are great and something for everyone to enjoy. Although a 4 star hotel rated, I think its above and beyond for the staffs attentitive service and extra touch of class.

Having enjoyed previous stays at the St Pierre Park, I was looking forward to this one. It is a lovely hotel in a glorious setting.

Unfortunately my room this time was rather a disappointment, with a strong smell of paint from redecorations in the garden wing. I also had to report a loose grab rail in the bathroom and a non-locking patio door.

Stayed here with friends for a short break. Hotel in a great location within easy walking distance or via bus in to St Peter Port. The hotel and grounds were immaculately kept. Room was spacious with balcony with every amenity you could wish for. Bathroom was luxurious with deep bath and shower. Plenty of hot water day or night. Breakfast was varied and you would be hard pressed to find fault. A good variety of cooked food, with other dishes available to order, lots of cereals, fresh fruit, yogurt, bread and pastries. Hotel bar offers a wide selection of beverages, whether you prefer hot or cold and food if you eat in. We enjoyed the spa and swimming pool and particularly the outside jacuzzi. Not to be missed as great views over the extensive gardens. Could not fault anything and all the staff were helpful, polite and nothing was to much trouble. Would not hesitate to recommend as a great place to stay and looking forward to another visit. Top notch.

This hotel is in a great location on the outskirts of St. Peter Port and is pleasantly situated in immaculately maintained lakeside grounds.
Not a great start to our holiday when the receptionist tried to tell us about extra charges rather than double checking first that the booking was for two people rather than the one person that the room had been made up for. Soon resolved though.
Nice well appointed suite, but be aware that the terrace we had was overlooked by both the neighbouring room and by the rooms upstairs. Certainly not as private as some might prefer.
Bed, linens and housekeeping to a high standard. No turndown service here, which we thought was surprising given the level of service this hotel tries well to achieve.
Superb assistance from the maintenance manager (Peter) over a minor bathroom issue and he was very helpful with car parking arrangements too.
Breakfast was an excellent selection from the hot and cold buffet, together with some speciality items available to order at no extra charge. Interaction with the serving staff was minimal though.
The real highlight for us was dinner on half board each night. OUTSTANDING. Superb choices for each of three courses and all very tasty and well presented. Our waiter every evening was Mareks and he could not have been more polite, courteous, efficient and friendly. A real example to other hotels and restaurants as to how it should be done. Thank you to Mareks and to the kitchen staff.
Highly recommend this hotel, and make sure you have dinner here too.

My experience with this hotel started well, as when booking we wanted a family room, the staff I spoke to were so helpful and gave honest and sound advice on selecting our room.

We arrived early, as we came off the ferry at lunchtime and our room was already made up for us, so we checked in.

Our first impression was good, the staff, again were friendly and helpful and we were made to feel welcome. We found our room, the family suite and it was a good size and very smart. The room was large and airy and the bathroom was a good size too with a lovely shower.

We did have a few issues whilst staying here, one with noise, from a private function and one with the food we ordered in the bar, on the same evening. I believe the kitchen was stretched, due to being busy preparing for the private function but we only ordered basic food and my chips weren't cooked enough and one of my Wife's crab cakes, along with the side of onion rings were cold. The issues were dealt with quickly and with no trouble, but it did put us off eating in the restaurant.

There were a couple of issues with our room as well, nothing major and, probably not worth mentioning, had we not had the other experience as well. All in all it was not what we would have expected, from a 4 Star hotel, but I understand it is due to be refurbished next year.

We saw the Manager, in reception, on our way to breakfast the next morning and he asked if we were enjoying our stay, we mentioned the problems with dinner and the noise, from the previous night and he was extremely apologetic and dealt with the situation with such professionalism and courtesy.

I accept that every business makes mistakes and believe that the way they deal with issues, if they do arise is as important as trying to prevent them in the first place. We were so pleased with the response we got, from all the staff involved that we were probably, then even more impressed with the hotel than if we'd had no issues at all. So despite these issues I am still giving the hotel, and her staff a full, 5 star review and we will be back.

The facilities in the hotel are fantastic, the pool is beautiful and the grounds are stunning. Breakfast was great, with the best selection I've seen in a breakfast buffet. Everything on the hot selection was excellent quality and well cooked and nothing was left hanging around for long, so always fresh.
