Superbreaks gave my wife and I a very good value half board deal for ten days at B&B prices (saved £60 per couple per night). The basic room, however, overlooked the car park and reception were not interested in upgrades to a room that overlooked the garden or lake, Pity because the setting and location of the hotel are good (30 mins walk to St Peter Port and relaxing tree lined grounds with sports/leisure facilities). The room did have a sitting area but no A/C and there was a noisy fan on the ground floor which meant that the patio doors could not be left open at night. Breakfast presented good choice but the one conveyor belt toaster regularily cremated the bread, and none of the chefs could fry or poach eggs to our satisfaction. The quality of the food in Cafe Renoir was excellent, but the menu over 10 nights was far too repetitive and lacked imagination/variety. The staff, however, were delightful and we had lots of opportunities to chat with them and smile. Overall, a pleasant stay, but only because we did not pay full price.

our first visit to Guernsey and hopefully not the last. Excellent hotel, good value for money, great food , and excellent service . Only one complaint - no air conditioning in bedrooms. Have just lately had rooms refurbished so why not add this facility ?- rooms have sliding doors onto balcony but did not relieve the heat - had to ask for a desk fan - and this was not mid summer !!! pity otherwise a really nice holiday.

I travelled to the hotel with my mother and two young boys. We had a family room, that was actually two adjoining rooms - a king bed in one with two twin beds in the other. The room had two large bathrooms, plenty of storage, and a lovely view of the garden. We stayed on the first floor near to the indoor pool (marvelous) and close to Reception and the restaurant. The internet was included in the room and was very definitely high-speed - a plus for us!

The breakfast was included in our room and was quite good, with the wait staff being very attentive. We toured Guernsey all day then would come back to the hotel at night and ordered room service each night for dinner, The food was quite good with generous portions. The only negative is that one night there was a dinner/dance in the hotel and the music and crowd were very noisy. I called the front desk to complain - something I NEVER do - and apparently the manager had the party close the door to the hall and that took care of the problem. I would definitely recommend this hotel and if I am ever in Guernsey again this will be my choice.

Stayed at the SPP for two nights whilst on business with colleagues. It's a full featured hotel on the outskirts of St Peter Port in my second home of Guernsey.

Set in some lovely grounds with a 9 hole golf course, pool, spa and other leisure facilities the SPP offers something for everyone. Great breakfast selection, comfortable & modern rooms, free wifi and nice restaurant. If you can get it on a corporate rate then even better!

The hotel has been redecorated and accommodations updated, since my last trip, The leisure facilities have been rejuvenated making for a more pleasant feeling. Problems start when large meetings and conferences occur as this often means that residents are unable to find parking spaces if they have gone out for the evening. I only ate breakfasts in the hotel due to tennerfest being on. However this meal was not as i would expect, as with hotels in this day and age buffet service is employed, and every morning i found that the food was not at an acceptable temperature, I brought this to the attention of staff in the restaurant, but to no avail.

Stayed here for two nights, the room was first class and overlooked the pond/lake. Found the staff to be very helpful from the front desk to the bar staff. We had a meal included on the second night which was very nice but perhaps not quite enough, good choice for breakfast. Would recommend to friends and would stay there again.

We have just returned from a 4 night stay and want everyone to know how good it was. The hotel was perfect, the rooms attractive, clean, quiet, and the breakfasts wonderful. We enjoyed the spa and swimming pool of an evening before going out. We came to go to the 'tennerfest' restaurants so didn't eat in in the evening. But the hotel is in a good location for getting into town, and on a bus route (which friends used).
The staff were all friendly and helpful.
Our son lives on the island but we enjoyed our stay so much we'd like to return!!

I stayed 2 nights on Thursday 11 and Friday 12 November, and had room 356. The hotel is a short way out of St Peter Port, with a taxi costing about £6 into town and to the airport £9.

It is located on several levels and it can be a bit confusing to remember which level you are on and how many floors to go up to the bedroom. The hotel has good sports facilities including an indoor pool 25 m long which is open from 06.30. I used it once.

The room was a fair size with a double bed made of two mattresses on one base. It was very comfortable to sleep in. The curtains were VERY thick which excluded all daylight. The bathroom was modern, and a shower over the bath. Washcloths were provided and the towels changed daily despite following the instructions for re-use.

Breakfast was on the gardens level in Cafe Renoir. Spacious with good selection of juices, fruit, and some cheeses. Hot dishes all available. I thought it one of the more extensive buffets I have seen.

In town we had excellent dinners at the long established Le Nautique and the more recent Pier 17. The food was better in the former but the welcome and service better in the latter. Think £50 per head including wines in each.

Many foreign enthusiastic workers from Eastern Europe

I paid £84 per night inc breakfast on a pre-paid basis. Good value for the quality of hotel

We have recently returned from a short 3 day break on our first trip to Guernsey, and found the hotel to be generally good although there were one or two things which could do with some attention. Our room was fine, overlooking the garden but I found it to be a little stuffy despite the time of year, very clean and comfortable. We ate in the restaurant each night and the quality of food was first class although the menu was a little repetitive which could have been an issue on a longer stay. The staff both at breakfast and in the restaurant were attentive, perhaps overly so on occasions. The hotel has a guest satisfaction survey which asks for the name of a staff member who had given particularly good service during our stay at the hotel. In my view there was one particular staff member who was over enthusiastic in this regard, to the extent that after our last meal in the restaurant he came running down the corridor waving his name badge in our faces.
The hotel does seem to have a number of functions and as our room was situated above the function room it was extremely noisy on the Saturday night until well past midnight. When checking out I was asked if everything was ok during our stay, I said yes apart from the noise the previous night but got no response, obviously a case of selective deafness.
Would I stay here again " yes " but would avoid week-ends or take along some ear plugs!
