We stayed for a 5 day break & very much enjoyed the hotel and the very friendly staff. The hotel has been very recently refurbished & the rooms are smart & comfortable. There is no fridge in the room, which we felt should be provided, but if you ask for fresh milk it will be provided - although one staff member did try & charge us £1 for it!
We ate in the Restaurant on our first night - bad move. The restaurant is quite pretentious & doesn't exactly encourage you to relax, but the food definately isn't up to 4* standards. The mix of ingredients was a little bizarre - my turbot arrived with undrained spinnach which made the whole plate watery, & it was sprinkled with diced red peppers & fried vegetable crisps! We sent both puddings back - the peach tart pastry was raw, & my chocolate terrine was stale & tasteless - not what I expected from an expensive meal! We left the restaurant shortly after that - the staff were not exactly apologetic!
The hotel didn't charge us for the puddings but we still ended up paying over £70 for a very poor meal - I wasn't exactly happy about that but the lady on reception told me she was the chefs girlfriend - not exactly impartial although she was very friendly. I didn't feel able to push the matter further with her.
The terrace bar, grounds & pool facilities are very nice & well maintained.
There is a bus stop into town just outside the hotel, & it's easy to get around the island by bus - but the buses do stop running about 7.30pm so eating out means you either eat early or you drive - there are lots of good restaurants in town - we liked Christies.
The hotel gives you lots of tourist info but nothing about good pubs/food - I guess they want you to eat there. There is also a good chinese take-away 100yds to the left of the hotel entrance.
I did suggest that they could have more info available about local events - the staff didn't know about any of the easter events & we stumbled onto those that we found.
The breakfast in bed was good & delivered promptly, & the buffet breakfast & dining room was good - but with some bizarre background music playing - Demis Rousos & Celine Dion!
Overall - good facilities & comfy room - but awkward to get anywhere in the evening without driving, & with a poor & expensive restaurant.

Our only complaint was some noise at night. This was never explained but seemed to consist of dragging heavy furniture across the room above us between 11 and 12 at night on two nights. At first we thought it was a public room and they were rearranging furniture, but the rooms above us were ordinary bedrooms. One or two other people comlained quite a lot about noise, but to be honest it did not bother us too much. Just a mystery as to what was going on!

Otherwise a very pleasant six night relaxing holiday. No complaints about the room, spacious, clean, comfortable and well serviced. Lots of facilities in hotel, including indoor swimming pool, gym. Breakfast really excellent. Not enormously impressed with Renoir restaurant, Le Fregate and Nauticaa in the town, much better, but acceptable for a large hotel, we ate there only once.

Location reasonable, a little out of town but easy bus ride with convenient stop, and although we took a car we only used it two or three days.

Our first visit to Guernsey and very enjoyable. Good walking, beautiful eastern and southern coast, pleasant locals and good food. Very civilised and relaxing.

My friends and I stayed for a long weekend and had a great time. The staff were friendly, efficient and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were lovely and spacious with a beautiful view of the gardens and lake. The facilities are excellent - pretty much everything you could need or want. The hotel is in a great location with the main town and beaches etc just a short journey away.

Just back from a 2 night break at the St Pierre Park and had a great time. Recently refurbished the rooms was large and we had a lovely garden view. The bathrooms have improved greatly and are now a nice white colour with lovely toiletries ( elemis) included, our only complaint was a lack of water pressure in the taps and shower which was really a trickle. Breakfast was excellent everything you could want all self service except tea/coffee.
The health suite is a good as ever. Guernsey was beautiful, a lovely venue for a short break.
Most importantly the hotel was quiet at night for a god nights sleep.

Was a very lovely elegant place. Had a superior junior suite it was really fabulous with a beautiful view. The pool and grounds are equally beautiful. We had a package with breakfast and then had our dinners in town which worked really well. Pedro and his team make the breakfast outstanding I am sure that the other meals would be excellent, you can get very good food in Guernsey . The staff was very friendly but professional (think four seasons). Guernsey is delightful place for a week end .

We have just returned from a week in the St Pierre Park and was very pleased with our choice of Hotel. We had 2 rooms with a nice balcony and a Garden view. The rooms had been recently renovated and were of a reasonable size with a nice bed. The only thing that was missing was a mini bar. The other thing that has been mentioned previously was the low water pressure to the Bath and Shower.
There was a good buffet breakfast with a large choice of Hot and Cold foods.
We ate in the Le Renoir restaurant once which had a good buffet choice particularly on the salads and sweets. There are a number of good restaurants in Guernsey and it is only a 5 minute drive to St Peter Port. I would recommend the La Perla on the front and Christies in the main street.
The hotel is large with Extensive grounds and this is one of its best features. There is a large Spa Area with an indoor swimming Pool.
There is a large Lake which is nice to just sit by and watch the Fish and also to walk round.
There is also an area for sun-bathing with sun loungers and towels supplied from the Health Centre.
We found the St Pierre Park to be a very relaxing Hotel within a few minutes drive of all the main attractions on Guernsey.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful, I would also like to say a big thank you to Mark who helped with our reservation we were on our way to Heathrow for a holiday to Italy when British Airways cancelled our flight. I was therefore left to find an alternative holiday for 4 people the day we was due to go. He was very helpful in sorting out our booking and also sorted out the Ferry arrangements this made a very difficult situation much easier.
We was very happy with our stay at the St Pierre Park and will have no hesitation in staying here when we return to Guernsey
the Hotel has a large Lake

I was very impressed by the helpful staff, cleanliness and comfort the hotel provided. The buffet breakfast was out of this world and the staff quickly saw to my dietary requirements. I was able to use the business suite free of charge to catch up with emails, etc, which was an added bonus.

We have just returned from a 4 night stay at St Pierre Park Hotel. This recently refurbished hotel is comfortable and well appointed in many ways although it did fall short of our expectations of a "spa" hotel, e.g. most spa hotels we have used provide robes in the room - used as advertising for the spa facilities!.
We used the Renoir restaurant each night we stayed and whilst the food was good our bill was inaccurate on 3 of the 4 nights we ate there so CHECK YOUR BILL!!
Our room was comfortably furnished and the bed was very good, however, there was no fridge, no air conditioning, the bathroom ventilation struggled to cope with one shower let along two and this resulted in the patio doors and windows suffering from condensation also making the room very hot. Even though we were at the end of a corridor, next to an exit, the hotel was quite noisy, particularly over the weekend, and the sound-proofing between the rooms is pretty ineffective as we could clearly hear the people in the next door room.
Smaller niggles were (1) only one packet of complimentary biscuits even though they knew two people were staying in the room, (2) toileteries were not replaced when the originals were finished - small things but what you expect from a 4* hotel.
Finally, our room was close to an exit and the area was littered with cigarette ends as was the al fresco area overlooked by the Renoir restaurant - maybe this is a sign of our society but the hotel could do a lot more to address this issue with regular cleaning throughout the day.
Overall, we would recommend the hotel to a friend but we would caveat our recommendation with our observations that this hotel does fall short of standards that you would normally associate with a 4* spa hotel.

My wife and I have just returned from a 4 night stay at the St Pierre Park. I've stayed in many hotels over the last 10 years travelling on business, and the St Pierre Park is one of a very few that I would be very happy to return to - It's nothing at all like a chain hotel. If you go there, be sure to take a walk in the gardens and around the lake.

The staff were all friendly, efficient, knowledgeable and intelligent. The room was large with a comfortable bed and well designed bathroom. The food was, quite simply, excellent. The breakfasts were wonderful, and the evening meals were superb (up there with the best, regardless of price), beautifully presented and with very good service as well.

The cost of the accommodation was very low for what we got. The evening meals cost about the same as everywhere else on Guernsey (about £35/head including plenty of wine) but bearing in mind the quality, I would say they were excellent value for money.

Criticisms are very minor - We couldn't get Radio 3, Radio 4 or Classic FM on the TV, and the (free) internet connection was flakey - It wasn't a problem with the WiFi but with the hotel's connection to their ISP, and it may have been a Guernsey wide problem judging by the local newspaper stories

It was the first time we have stayed at the St Pierre Park. Previously we have stayed at other very good hotels on Guernsey. Next time, we'll be returning to the St Pierre Park.
