We came here directly from another Hand Picked Hotel on Jersey so it was interesting to note how very different they were. The differences were remarkable but the underlying theme was the same. That theme was a high degree of comfort, a homely feel and a warm welcome. Reflection accurately described in hotel literature regarding the ethos of the owner.
This peacefully situated and extremely comfortable hotel has everything for the guest who wants to relax and receive top quality service from friendly yet competent and professional staff.
We have a dog in our family and she was made to feel welcome at both hotels.
We were particularly impressed by the 3 dining options at the Fermain Valley the food and service at each was of a consistent and high standard.
We are now determined to visit more hotels in the group and would not hesitate to return to the two we had visited so far.
This peacefully situated and extremely comfortable hotel has everything for the guest who wants to relax and receive top quality service from friendly yet competent and professional staff.

No question, no doubt!
We had no idea what we wanted, except sun & sea in May. That was the sum total of our wish list in Jan 26. Within a matter of hours, Amy sent us 4 options of possible maybe's. We sat, discussed, did a smidgin of research and returned with our options and potential variations.
Before we knew it, we were booked, and wowser, Amy did not disappoint. Cyprus, Junior Suite, Adult only, Sun, Sea, peace - heaven.
If you need a holiday, and have no idea what you want, talk to Amy and she will pull a rabbit out of a hat.
Superb service, contactable, on hand, dedicated and on the ball with your every request accounted for. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.

Zoe did a wonderful job of brightening up my little courtyard garden with beautiful pots full of colour. She listened to what I wanted in terms of the flowers I liked and what I wanted to achieve, then added her own style. I’m going to enjoy sitting outside in the sunshine so much more. Thank you!

We had a very pleasant stay here.
Service is probably the thing that comes out on top here, big shout out to Ben (waiter) and Patricia (breakfast staff) who were incredible with our energetic 2 year old. It’s people like these who really made us look back and helped us have such a great memory of our stay.
Food was great although I think more variety should be on offer at more points in the day.
Room was clean and kept to a great standard but was quite dated (not a problem for us)
Very spacious.
Very near a mini golf course which would have been great if our child was a little older but also had a bar and grill attached.
Well connected to local bus that comes every 30 mins and goes into town.
2 minute walk to a waitrose.
Good range of soft and alcoholic beverages with some great IPA’s.
Many other people made our stay fantastic and there wasn’t anything to complain about.

Excellent service from a lovely gentleman who kindly adjusted some glasses for me that I had purchased elsewhere, he even offered this service for free which I wasn't expecting.
He took the time to explain where the misalignment was in my glasses and what he was going to do to correct this for me.
My glasses are now sitting lovely and snug on my face, I'm very happy with the kind service I received.
Highly recommend this business, I will be returning in the future for my eye tests.

I was very disappointed on my last visit to R&S. I have always been really pleased with the service I've received but this time I felt they were disrespectful, dismissive and rude.
I popped in to see if I could sell some of my unwanted jewellery. First of all the lady handled it without gloves and just threw it back in packaging without ensuring it was returned properly.
Then Martin said he could review it and let me have it back Saturday, which I was grateful for. I got a call the same day saying it's ready and to go back in for a chat.
When we got there, there was only Jeff in the store and we waited patiently for him to finish with his customers.
Then he waffled on about how it was a hard sell for him and it was a silly offer. They offered me an insulting price for 3 pieces of brand new Tiffany jewellery, 1 as new charm and an 18 carat gold necklace with VVS diamonds!
When my sister said you could have just said that on the phone, he was flippant and said oh well you needed to collect them!

I took the necklace to oatlands jewellers and they gave me more for that one necklace than R&S offered me for all of it. Knightsbridge of Guernsey? I don't think so, no jewellers in Knightsbridge have ever been so arrogant or dismissive. Will not be returning
