Visited for 3 nights at end of May/ beg June - very pleased with my choice of hotel! Reception excellent, accommodated our delayed arrival with no fuss - briefed by manager and felt instantly at home with a late lunch on the terrace, looking down the atmospheric sub-tropicall valley towards the sea in the distance. Walked down to private beach to soak up the ambience, took advantage of wonderful choice of cakes in cafe, and on way back was delighted to find the well-designed and extensive garden at back too! Really enjoyed the spacious Platinum suite at front of the hotel, with super views, which we were lucky enough to have for 3 nights in end, only having originally booked for 2 nights online. Tried both restaurants - one at front better value, trendier night club at back a little noisy for us, but to be fair we were probably oldest in room ! Most staff very courteous, and welcoming, although our greeting at breakfast was not so good.... Excellent base for touring island, with plenty to keep us busy locally in first 24 hours. Just under 10 mins from the hustle and bustle of St Peter Port. Overall however our experience was great and I shall be recommending this hotel to others!

We loved the Fermain Valley Hotel. Our platinum room was comfortable and quiet. The whole hotel was immaculate and the staff friendly and efficient. The nearest bus stop 5 mins away has four busses in each direction every hour. You can get to any point on the island for £1 and a whole tour of the island is also just £1, a brilliant service. Why bother with car hire? There is a nice cafe at the beach which is well worth the steep walk down the road. St Peter Port is a busy town with plenty of shops and an interesting harbour.

This was my second stay here and will stay again, gave it 5 stars last time but knocked it down to 4 for this visit. Staff are friendly and the decor and rooms are to a great standard, the hotel wasn't full or seemed busy but still never managed a room with a sea view, ended up looking out the rear of the hotel. They also no longer offer the service to drop you off in town in the evening which was useful as taxis can be a wait and quite slow

We recently stayed for 6 nights here. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The staff we met were courteous and friendly. We had evening meals on two occasions in the Rock Garden Restaurant and once in the Ocean Restaurant - all meals were enjoyed. Unfortunately, the breakfast experience was chaotic. Guests were not served in the order they arrived, toast was rarely done properly despite frequent requests, and waiting staff were often confused about which table they should be serving (a clear numbering system for tables would help here). The seating and tables outside the Ocean Restaurant were not cleaned after use, bowls, etc, were left on tables overnight, and the ground area was not swept clean at all to our knowledge. The hotel deserves its 4-star rating, but we feel that a little complacency has crept in. Hopefully, our observations above may help in this.

Dan on reception was incredible! The hotel is amazing and the views are breathtaking but Dan helped out massively with a late check out which I really needed. This wasnt all. The staff are so friendly and helpful but Dan's welcoming and calm friendly nature made my stay perfect. Thank you!

An excellent way to start a short break, picked up at the airport by the hotels transport. Excellent reception and bags portered to room. A very clean airy room with an excellent small balcony. Bar and restaurants were of a high standard.

I selected this hotel for it's location in respect of my business trip to Guernsey. of the 5 hotel options my employer sourced, this was the cheapest. I was delighted to receive a free room upgrade to a room on the 2nd floor with a balcony that overlooked the gardens and the splendid sea view.
I took a walk down to the sea front and was delighted with the view. It's a steep walk down and steeper on the way back up so those not so mobile will struggle.
The Rock Garden restaurant was a huge bonus as their Rib Eye steak was to die for.
Great service from every touch point and a great hotel in a stunning setting.
I'll chose to stay here again for sure.
PS: the hotel is on the flight path for the airport but as flights do not operate during the night, this had no impact on my stay.

Stayed here overnight whilst in Guernsey on business. The room was lovely, facilities good, views breathtaking, food of the highest standard. BUT and its a big but, if you book a room for a leisure stay, get confirmation that you're in the main hotel and not the annex building which is located up the road and which does not have the breathtaking views. Other than that, I think it would be impossible to fault this hotel.

My husband and I stayed one night as he was playing a cricket match on the island. Very nice room (newly refurbished) and balcony. The terraces and garden are also very pleasant and it's a short walk to the lovely bay and beach cafe below the hotel with easy access to the coastal path. My only criticism is that the bar was I atmospheric and so we went to the Rock Garden grill (the other venue in the hotel ) which had a rather dated 80's wine bar feel and was rather noisy . A tasteful,intimate bar and cook to order breakfast rather than buffet style would raise the standard

A long weekend at this hotel proved to be a mixture. We partook in musical chairs so to speak - we were moved from one room to the other. If you can avoid it, do not go for a room to the back of the hotel, as there is a terasse below. Guests will be keeping you awake out to the small hours,
No food experience - ate out in town! well, the breakfast was filling/good.
Very friendly and effective work force. Reception very good.Grounds very neat and well kept. Very clean in/out.
