Our First visit to guernsey. We received a very warm welcome from the lady on reception on arrival . First impressions were very good .check in was very efficient . We were then shown to our room by a member of staff.
We had booked an executive double. The room was very clean although slightly dated The bed was very big and very comfortable with nice bedding and plenty of pillows .Nice spacious bathroom.with a selection of products and fluffy white towels . We had a very nice selection of teas ,and also a nespresso coffee
machine and coffee capsules. ( we have only ever had this in our room in Cyprus) I was delighted.
Our room was 264 ,overlooking the lovely gardens and lake .it was in a nice quiet part of the hotel ,and had a balcony with table and chairs.
In an executive room I would expect a fridge and a safe . Ours had neither . The hairdrter was very poor and awkward to use .
The hotel has a spa and indoor pool . The staff in the spa are very helpful and welcoming .
This area is quite dated , the jacuzzi needs some tlc some tiles are missing around the outside.the pool is a nice size ,but I feel the whole area needs some up dating the glazing in this area needs some attention ,it is quite misty ,also the whole layout of the spa area is a bit odd . . You have to change then walk back through reception for access to the pool showers and steam room in your gown..
The hotel is about a 35 minute walk from st peters port harbour .there is a bus stop near the hotel for buses to the harbour or cobo bay . no91 /92 Vaux bus from the harbour terminal will take you on a tour of the whole island for just £1.00 ! Takes about 1hr30 . Amazing value .
The lounge is a nice area to sit in the evening . Breakfasts are nice with plenty of choice . Can't comment about the victor Hugo restaurant or the pavillion. as we didn't use either of these.
All the staff are very welcoming and helpful and a credit to the hotel.
It looks as though a lot of work is being carried out at the hotel . Which has been taken over by Hand picked hotels .
We enjoyed our stay , I would like to return when all the improvements have been carried out .......with the right improvements this very nice hotel could be a great hotel .

We stayed for two nights during the week in comfortable double room with a balcony. The room was clean and tidy. We had breakfast both mornings which had a very good selection. The hotel has very friendly and helpful staff. My partner had a conference in the hotel and I spent sometime in the spa having great value for money treatments. We used public transport to get to the hotel from the main port but there is parking at the hotel.

We recently stayed at this Hotel for a week after celebrating our Diamond Wedding. From the time we arrived to the time we left we found the Staff very helpful and obliging. Nothing was too much trouble and they were always on hand to give advice and recommendations. The bedroom was always cleaned very well, and the complementary bottled water much appreciated. The meals we had in the Hotel were of excellent quality and the waiters were very good. We found the Island bus service very good, with buses stopping almost outside the Hotel. I was glad we did not hire a car before arriving, as you could travel anywhere for £1. - even all round the Island. We would thoroughly recommend this Hotel. Just one minor thing. We did find it difficult to get into the bath to have a shower - it was rather high. But then we are 82!!! It was nice and quiet, which suited us fine.

I stayed here for a work trip and was looking forward to staying here as the reviews looked good and the facilities seemed ideal, plus it was only a 20 min walk to the town!

After leaving my house in Chester, North West England at 4:30am, I finally arrived at the hotel around 11am where I was then told I would need to wait for my room before I could check in as it wasn't ready yet.

Turns out my room wouldn't be ready for over an hour and a half! I ended up using the Spa changing facilities to get ready for the work event I was there for! This was less than Ideal!

I was also unable to order any food as I wasn't given any idea on how long it would be until my room would be available! I didn't want to order food to then have to rush eating it to get to my room and get ready!

This was the only problem with my stay!!! The rest of it was brilliant! The staff when I was eventually given my room key were apologetic and very polite and helpful during the rest of my time here! The room was large and had all the facilities I needed Including a lovely Espresso Machine that is far better than any hotel coffee I am use to and the Gym and pool were free to use for all guests!

The gym did get busy around 6ish when I was in there, and its only small so could get claustrophobic when more than 5 people are in there, but for a free gym, I couldn't complain. As I mentioned, its only small as well, so don't expect a huge free weight selection or lots of equipment, just had enough to be useful!

Overall I would happily stay here again! I would just request an early check in to save being stuck in "hotel limbo" for a couple of hours after arrival!

from check in to check out the staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for us, they even checked a few things on the internet for us. The room was spacious a little dated but clean and all amenities including tv, hairdryer, toiletries, tea and coffee making facilities. The hotel also offers free wifi which is always a plus

The breakfast was lovely loads of different choices including breakfast buffet from cooked and cold food also cooked food to order. We eat in the bar the food was lovely.

the hotel as a lovely pool jacuzzi and steam rooms great to relax in at the end of the day has towels and robes didnt have any treatments. has lovely grounds and lake and a golf course also has tennis courts and gym

Near the hotel on the same side as waitrose is the bus stop that goes into the centre of town, costs £1.00

We enjoyed our stay just wish it could have been longer

Second time at this hotel. Very impressed first time which is why we returned. We were not disappointed. Hotel is in lovely surroundings. Room was spotlessly clean.Bathroom looked like new. Food was excellent great choice at breakfast and we had bar meals which were good quality and good value for money.
Only criticism is that for me the hotel is not in an ideal location. About a 35 minute walk to St Peter Port. There are buses but as we were there over Easter they were not that frequent. Taxis are quite expensive. If you have a car there is plenty of car parking space. Personally, I would not be happy driving in Guernsey. Roads are very narrow and it amused me to see drivers having to take to driving on pavements. There is a filter system at junctions that also would be alien to many people. Many cars have signs of damage particularly with wing mirrors.
As others have written, buses are very cheap. A trip round the Island taking around an hour and a half costs no more than a standard fare which is £1.00
The St Pierre Park is a good hote un lovely surroundingsl and I would go back there again.

A friend and I came for a quiet break over Easter and it had everything we needed - good value with beautiful surroundings, a lovely bar and friendly bar staff, and a spa with a decent sized pool you can actually swim in, and a nice jacuzzi. We had a really relaxing time.

A three course meal at the restaurant was included in the price. It was fine but nothing special and, given the range of excellent restaurants on the island, we'd probably skip it next time. Likewise the breakfast buffet was OK but felt a bit mass produced.

It's not cool or trendy and can be a bit rough around the edges, but to complain would be nit-picking as we had a great break and spent a lot of time in the comfy bar, which also had a really nice outside area. We also really enjoyed the spa. The staff were friendly and accommodating and we have nothing to complain about.

A lovely hotel, so welcoming - soft décor, friendly, efficient receptionists. The hotel just feels so relaxed, the grounds are delightful, so pleasant to walk around - I would unreservedly recommend this hotel to all. The swimming pool and spa are more than adequate and we also enjoyed a game of crazy golf.
Our rooms were comfortable, clean and relaxing with a balcony where you sit to enjoy your coffee and the clean fresh air. We requested and received interconnecting rooms - with the children this was such a bonus; we all wandered between the two, the children falling asleep feeling safe and secure = relaxed adults!.
Breakfast was good, so much to choose from, I was also impressed with the table full of alternate diet foods. One gripe was the hour long wait for an ordered breakfast meal, it didn't happen a second time therefore I presume it was a glitch that particular morning and it was delicious once it arrived.
We ate evening meals in the lounge area where board games are available to keep the children entertained and you can choose to sit outside on the patio/balcony area which over-looks the garden and pond. Staff are particularly attentive, friendly and efficient. The food was delicious and good value. We didn't use the restaurant on this visit but liked the look of the menu and room.
A lick of paint would improve some of the outside areas but I understand this is in order as work has begun. I would love to return in the very near future to see the completed outside entrance area which looks as if it will be a fountain.

Stayed at St.Pierre Park Hotel whilst away on business. Although I have been here before and always have a pleasent experience this time I wanted to write a review.

The Receptionist was friendly and helpful. She advised me that she could book a table in the restaurant for dinner as I was interested in the Restaurant Menu however as I'd rather eat in the bar (as I was alone) this was no problem and my request was accommodated.

I enjoyed a delicious two-course meal served to me on a clothed table in the bar (the gnocchi was tasty and served as a very large portion) washed down with a large glass of Melba which was medium weight and had a pleasent palate. The service was both polite and professional without being overly-friendly.

My room looked over the car park. However there are rooms at the other side of the hotel which look over the lake and these are, in my opinion more to my liking especially in the fine weather months. The external area at the front is being given a facelift in time for the holiday season 2015 and from the stage of progress reached during my visit promise to make a real visual impact to future guests.

The room had a huge bed with the most fantastic pillows - such comfort felt wonderful after a long day. The bathrobe provided was approciated too. The soap and products in the bathroom smell delightful so don't take your own.

I enjoyed a stroll to the beach with a work colleague; it was about 30 minutes each way so if you have time it is certainly worth the effort. The route takes you past many beautiful homes and as an alternative to eating at the hotel you can enjoy fish and chips on the beach or a meal at one of the fine bars/restaurants opposite the bay.

Breakfast at St. Pierre Park is fantastic with lots of choice and a beautiful lay-out for guests to help themselves. There is no reason why anyone should miss breakfast when staying here!

Check-out was swift and I left feeling refreshed and ready for the day ahead. Thank you.
