The St Pierre Park Hotel is an easy 10 minute or so drive from the airport and a 5 minute drive (by car or using the very efficient and cheap bus service) or a pleasant 20 minute walk to/from St Peter Port (a bit hilly however).

We arrived at 10:00am expecting just to leave our baggage and return later to check in. However we were informed that our room was ready and we could take occupancy of it immediately.

The Hotel itself was nicely presented with very friendly and helpful staff throughout.

Breakfast was excellent with a large choice of cold and well cooked hot items, with choices such as kippers, haddock, omelettes etc etc all cooked to order.

Our room was clean and tidy, relatively large and well equipped. The bed was very comfy. Fresh clean towels were provided every day.

The grounds were immaculate. A children's play area, tennis courts were available.

The Spa, pool and associated facilities were tremendous.

My only gripe was that we upgraded to an Executive room, having originally booked a Classic room at an additional cost of £20.00 per night - we did this as the Hotel website gave the impression that the balcony provided with an executive room was large - ours wasn't! my wife and I could genuinely NOT sit together on the balcony in any degree of comfort, in fact only one chair and a table was provided (I presume this was more of a smokers balcony, no offence to smokers). The purpose of seeking a larger balcony was so that in the afternoon or evening my wife and I could sit back and relax on that balcony, maybe sipping a glass of wine. Sadly this was not possible. We did try one night but ended up with my wife sitting on the balcony and me sitting in the room!. I guess this did not spoil to any great degree our holiday but I would think that you have by now formed the opinion,as I have devoted a large amount of text to the subject, that it was irritating and very disappointing.

I did take this issue up with the hotel in the early part of our stay but was given the impression by the gentleman on reception that it was 'luck of the draw' and down to which room you were allocated.

My advice - check the size of your balcony when booking a room. In this case size does matter!.

Otherwise a very pleasant hotel.

Rooms were very comfortable. Good choice of breakfast.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
No air conditioning we were offered a fan for my fathers room as he did not wish to leave patio door open at night.
Would stay there again.

Hotel is gorgeous in a great location. The newly renovated health club and spa is absolutely superb.

The room was great. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful with nothing too much trouble.

Ate a couple of times in the Terrace Café Bar and the food was very good as were the breakfasts

Such a relaxing and enjoyable break that if we go to Guernsey again, this will definitely be our first choice.

Decided to go to guernsey for a short break with a fairly late booking. Liked the look of this hotel and decided that I would like to try out the new spa.
I stayed in a junior suite which had a good sized balcony with chairs and sunlounger available and a personal hot tub. The hot tub was very nice and convenient to use.
Otherwise room was great, with nice size and facilities. Only downside was the bed had a split bed put back together and you could feel the join.
Spa was excellent, I only used the pool, sauna, jacuzi and steam room, whole are is brand new and looked and felt it, great fit and finish. Jacuzzi is outdoors on a nice decked area overlooking the gardens.
I ate in hotel once for evening meal and food was of good quality and we'll cooked. Breakfasts where very good and set you up for the day.
Staff friendly all round but bar staff could be a bit more attentive, I noticed a couple of times slight problems with service.
Would I come back, yes I would.

This hotel is in a good position, some 1 miles from the port. Buses are £1 each way from outside the hotel. There is a Waitrose across the road, very handy.
The hotel has a lovely view from the breakfast room, across the lake with fountain, ducks and a resident heron watching the fish.
Our room was lovely, well equipped, comfortable beds, very clean. Breakfast was one of the best we have had, so many choices and food was top quality.
We did not have time to use the swimming pool etc.
The only reason I have not given it top marks is because of the noisy slamming bedroom doors.

First time to this hotel and weren't disappointed set in lovely grounds the hotel was clean and welcoming with helpful and friendly staff. Our room was clean and comfortable with lovely views over the grounds. It was lovely to enjoy having breakfast looking over the lake. The breakfast was a buffet style system which was really nice and offered lots of choices so you could as little or as much as you wanted without waste. We did eat from the evening menu twice which was also very nice but we felt that the menu could have possibly offered a little more choice.I also enjoyed using the lovely swimming pool most enjoyable after a long day.

Guernsey is very difficult for a disabled visitor. I have family in Guernsey so have to visit. St Pierre Park is the best hotel I have visited over the years. Gardens & lake are not accessible by mobility scooter hired from St. John's @ £58 pw.as dropped kerbs are not a priority anywhere in Guernsey or their hotels? But things have got better over the years. St Pierre is now owned by hand picked hotels & is undergoing upgrades but @ no disadvantage to guests!indeed if they have bookings for events that might disturb you the make you aware that they will move you so that will not be disturbed overnight if you wish! The staff are all exceptionally helpful in reception Terrace bar & Victor Hugo!everywhere really!
Breakfast is always high standard plentiful & well attended by waiters ! This hotel for me is great ! I can recommend The Sunday Carvery in Victor Hugo! Thankyou St Pierre for another lovely 5day break !

I have just git married and my wife and I had the great pleasure to have our reception at this lovely hotel in St. Peter Port.

The hotel has just had a full make over and looks wonderfully smart and very clean and tidy.

The food at our reception was a 3 course buffet which offered great choice and was wonderfully prepared and presented.

The staff as you would expect from a hotel of this quality were first rate and very professional, polite and helpful.

We stayed in a suite which was absolutely gorgeous with its own mini kitchen, lounge area, lovely big bed and a patio with its own jacuzzi very nice indeed.

And would be a great room for any occasion or romantic get together.

In the morning we had a champagne breakfast again smartly and very professionally down.

All in all a wonderful hotel no faults at all as far as I could see and a pleasure to stay.

I can't recommend this place highly enough.

Of course it's not a budget hotel or anything near it but you pay for what you get and what we got was wonderful and memorable and that's good enough for me and my wife.

Would happily stay at this wonderful hotel anytime.

Spa- newly refurbished- very good.
Gardens were nice.
Can recommend and would go again.

Recently spent 5 days at the hotel with my wife and elderly mother in law, who needed gluten free diet. From the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out, the customer service was spot on. The reception staff knew that my mother in law required a gluten free diet and were to reassure us that her needs would be met.

The rooms were very comfortable and nicely appointed, with tea and coffee making facilities. If we made tea or coffee before dinner, clean cups were provided as part of the turn down service.

The meals in the hotel were excellent. For breakfast, there was a 'free from' section where my mother in law could get gluten free cereals and bread. If required, she could also have gluten free toast. Personally I enjoyed the excellent full English breakfast, though sometimes I had to wait for fresh fried eggs to be produced, as they were left under a heat lamp over cooking the yolks.

As we stayed half board, we ate in the Victor Hugo restaurant each night of our stay. For the half board, we could either eat from the set menu, which was changed daily, or put our money from the set menu towards something from the A la carte menu and pay the difference. For the majority of the time, we ate from the set menu. Generally, there was a good choice of gluten free options on the set menu, for my mother in law to choose from.
There were a couple of evenings where there was no choice of a gluten free option, on these occasions, my mother in law was allowed to substitute a dish from the a la carte menu at no extra cost. Also there was one evening, where a gluten free option was listed on the set menu. My mother in law requested the gluten free option for this dish, only to be told that the chef had made a mistake and the dish was not gluten free. 5 minutes later after ordering another gluten free dish, the waiter came back to us saying that the chef was "mortified" by their mistake, and was able to adapt the dish to make it gluten free. A dish my mother in law enjoyed.

All the dishes I ate at the restaurant were very good apart from the lemon meringue pie. Whilst the lemon part of the dish was full of lemon flavour and not too sweet, the pastry bottom was a bit soggy and the meringue was soft and not stiff as a meringue should be. Minor quibble

The location of the hotel was very convenient, as we had a hire car and there was plenty of parking at the hotel.

One of my other bug bears is the performance of the hotel Wifi. No complaints here though. It was free throughout the hotel and I had good connection speed.

So would I stay at this hotel again? Yes I would. It's a good choice for both the tourists wanting a relaxing break and the business traveller staying there for work purposes who needs to connect with office.
