We have just returned from a week in the St Pierre Park and was very pleased with our choice of Hotel. We had 2 rooms with a nice balcony and a Garden view. The rooms had been recently renovated and were of a reasonable size with a nice bed. The only thing that was missing was a mini bar. The other thing that has been mentioned previously was the low water pressure to the Bath and Shower.
There was a good buffet breakfast with a large choice of Hot and Cold foods.
We ate in the Le Renoir restaurant once which had a good buffet choice particularly on the salads and sweets. There are a number of good restaurants in Guernsey and it is only a 5 minute drive to St Peter Port. I would recommend the La Perla on the front and Christies in the main street.
The hotel is large with Extensive grounds and this is one of its best features. There is a large Spa Area with an indoor swimming Pool.
There is a large Lake which is nice to just sit by and watch the Fish and also to walk round.
There is also an area for sun-bathing with sun loungers and towels supplied from the Health Centre.
We found the St Pierre Park to be a very relaxing Hotel within a few minutes drive of all the main attractions on Guernsey.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful, I would also like to say a big thank you to Mark who helped with our reservation we were on our way to Heathrow for a holiday to Italy when British Airways cancelled our flight. I was therefore left to find an alternative holiday for 4 people the day we was due to go. He was very helpful in sorting out our booking and also sorted out the Ferry arrangements this made a very difficult situation much easier.
We was very happy with our stay at the St Pierre Park and will have no hesitation in staying here when we return to Guernsey
the Hotel has a large Lake

I was very impressed by the helpful staff, cleanliness and comfort the hotel provided. The buffet breakfast was out of this world and the staff quickly saw to my dietary requirements. I was able to use the business suite free of charge to catch up with emails, etc, which was an added bonus.

We have just returned from a 4 night stay at St Pierre Park Hotel. This recently refurbished hotel is comfortable and well appointed in many ways although it did fall short of our expectations of a "spa" hotel, e.g. most spa hotels we have used provide robes in the room - used as advertising for the spa facilities!.
We used the Renoir restaurant each night we stayed and whilst the food was good our bill was inaccurate on 3 of the 4 nights we ate there so CHECK YOUR BILL!!
Our room was comfortably furnished and the bed was very good, however, there was no fridge, no air conditioning, the bathroom ventilation struggled to cope with one shower let along two and this resulted in the patio doors and windows suffering from condensation also making the room very hot. Even though we were at the end of a corridor, next to an exit, the hotel was quite noisy, particularly over the weekend, and the sound-proofing between the rooms is pretty ineffective as we could clearly hear the people in the next door room.
Smaller niggles were (1) only one packet of complimentary biscuits even though they knew two people were staying in the room, (2) toileteries were not replaced when the originals were finished - small things but what you expect from a 4* hotel.
Finally, our room was close to an exit and the area was littered with cigarette ends as was the al fresco area overlooked by the Renoir restaurant - maybe this is a sign of our society but the hotel could do a lot more to address this issue with regular cleaning throughout the day.
Overall, we would recommend the hotel to a friend but we would caveat our recommendation with our observations that this hotel does fall short of standards that you would normally associate with a 4* spa hotel.

My wife and I have just returned from a 4 night stay at the St Pierre Park. I've stayed in many hotels over the last 10 years travelling on business, and the St Pierre Park is one of a very few that I would be very happy to return to - It's nothing at all like a chain hotel. If you go there, be sure to take a walk in the gardens and around the lake.

The staff were all friendly, efficient, knowledgeable and intelligent. The room was large with a comfortable bed and well designed bathroom. The food was, quite simply, excellent. The breakfasts were wonderful, and the evening meals were superb (up there with the best, regardless of price), beautifully presented and with very good service as well.

The cost of the accommodation was very low for what we got. The evening meals cost about the same as everywhere else on Guernsey (about £35/head including plenty of wine) but bearing in mind the quality, I would say they were excellent value for money.

Criticisms are very minor - We couldn't get Radio 3, Radio 4 or Classic FM on the TV, and the (free) internet connection was flakey - It wasn't a problem with the WiFi but with the hotel's connection to their ISP, and it may have been a Guernsey wide problem judging by the local newspaper stories

It was the first time we have stayed at the St Pierre Park. Previously we have stayed at other very good hotels on Guernsey. Next time, we'll be returning to the St Pierre Park.

Had 2 lovely nights here in early August whilst visting friends. The hotel is quite some way out of town, not a problem for us, but maybe a consideration with others. Prompt efficient check in ; very pleasant public areas. Given room 157, which whilst very nice inside was VERY hot and stuffy, and on ground floor. So unable to leave patio doors open. No a/c in room and no free standing fan available. We were moved without fuss to 422. This room had recently been refurbished. Breakfast was standard "buffett" style, but plenty of variety.

Didn't use any of hotel facilities as out all day..........but there were lots. Beautiful grounds/lake. Large supermarket two minutes walk away, so handy for supplies.

Guernsey is ideal for short holiday, and I would recommend this hotel

I love this hotel. This is the second time I stayed here and both times have been great. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are very clean and pleasant, and the hotel is quiet. I have always stayed here when visting Gurnsey, but after staying here on time, I never want to stay at another hotel again. You can't beat going from your car to your room in 5 minutes! Traveling with children, it's great to come to a fresh (all non smoking) hotel to rest.
with out doubt this is by far the best hotel i have stayed in, I highly recommend this hotel to anybody who wants a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

A friend had booked an overnight trip to Guernsey and I was pleased to discover that we would be staying at St. Pierre Park as it is a 4 star hotel and often regarded as Guernsey's best. I had also stayed there as a child. We found it easy to get to from St. Peter Port (only £1 on the bus). Maybe my expectations of what a 4 star hotel should be and what they are, are completely off...

The room was large, but didn't contain a safe, or a minibar (or even a bottle of water). The room got very hot very quickly (especially after showering) as there wasn't any air conditioning or even a fan, and as we were on the ground floor the patio doors could only be opened, due to security issues, whilst we were in the room, awake and dressed! The thick duvet on the bed would be perfect for a cold winters night, not great in August, and there wasn't a sheet that we could have used instead. Due to the heat in the room and the bed being lumpy I didn't have a good nights sleep. The bathroom was very spacious and clean, with a great shower/bath.

The reception staff were friendly as were the concierge. We liked the bar area very much, it was very elegant, comfortable and the drink selection was amazing. We dined in the restaurant in the evening, having a set menu. The food was very good, and I think everyone enjoyed their meal. The breakfast buffet was amazing; very large selection. Staff were not so friendly in the morning. Maybe we'd kept them up too late the night before.

This hotel would be very comfortable during another time off year. In August the lack of A/C really bothered me, yet I don't know that others in Guernsey offer it anyway. I guess the hotel gets it's 4 stars from having a gym, tennis courts, golf course, indoor swimming pool, hair salon etc. all of which didn't interest me. But if that's what you're looking for I'm sure this hotel could be for you.

We were given a dark sub-ground floor room with a view of the car park after paying top rate. The room had a connecting door to the room next door and there were some very noisy people in there,on the phone shouting all the time. The soundproofing was non existent. We were told that the hotel was full and that the room could not be changed until we phoned Airmiles and complained and then saw the assistant duty manager. He was very helpful and after about half an hour managed to get us changed to a room at the back with a view of the garden and without a connecting door but on the same floor. This was much better but all the rooms below ground floor are very dark. Bathrooms are nice but the shower is basic, no thermostat. We heard our neighbour complaining loudly about the shower. As other reviewers have mentioned the four stars are for the leisure facilities and reception rooms not the accommodation. No mini bar, no satellite tv, no in-house films, no safe, no way we'll be staying here again.

Superbreaks gave my wife and I a very good value half board deal for ten days at B&B prices (saved £60 per couple per night). The basic room, however, overlooked the car park and reception were not interested in upgrades to a room that overlooked the garden or lake, Pity because the setting and location of the hotel are good (30 mins walk to St Peter Port and relaxing tree lined grounds with sports/leisure facilities). The room did have a sitting area but no A/C and there was a noisy fan on the ground floor which meant that the patio doors could not be left open at night. Breakfast presented good choice but the one conveyor belt toaster regularily cremated the bread, and none of the chefs could fry or poach eggs to our satisfaction. The quality of the food in Cafe Renoir was excellent, but the menu over 10 nights was far too repetitive and lacked imagination/variety. The staff, however, were delightful and we had lots of opportunities to chat with them and smile. Overall, a pleasant stay, but only because we did not pay full price.
