What a great stay we had in this beautiful hotel on teh delightful island of Guernsey. The hotel team were so attentive, they could not do enough for my wife and I during our recent visit.

Despite all 68 rooms being full, evryone knew addressed us by our name from the moment we arrived, how do they do that!

The food was wonderful, the facilities marvellous and if they did not have something, they knew where we would find it.

Well done Red Carnation, you should be proud.

I stayed for a long weekend and was booked into the Sark Suite. The room was lovely with all the usual facilites you would expect at an above average hotel. Safe, mini bar, robes, hairdryer, huge flat screen tv, dvd and cd player, even down to a complimentary shaving and toothbrush kit.
The breakfast consisted of just about everything that you could want to eat. The lunch menu had a good selection of healthy options along with usual favourites. Sunday lunch carvery was priced at £12.50 a head but with a selection that was just amazing.
The Mirage health suite is free to guests and on arrival you sign in and then are given a robe and towels. The pool is lovely and the relaxation room has all the daily papers and free coffee, tea, and juice.
I treated myself to a treatment and the staff in the health suite were very professional, approachable and I would not heistate to stay at the hotel again. A lovely relaxing short break in lovely surroundings. I didn't even make as far as the golf course. Well done

I have stayed at this hotel about 6 times over the last 3 years 2 of them times being in 2012. The rooms are very clean and always lovely!!. The only thing I can really find a fault with is some of the chairs/sofas in the bar are a bit worn and could do with being changed.

Upgraded to here due to an incident at our original selection however we were more than happy! Superb hotel and very difficult to fault. Service was excellent and the breakfast huge and tasty! Virtually in the middle of the island which was ideal for us as we love to walk and did everywhere from St. Peters Port (generally twice per day!) to Cobo bay. However a bus does run right by the door (£2 per trip) for the 2 miles to the centre of St Peters Port. The taxi journey to and from the airport was only £10 each way and on this basis a taxi to St Peters Port would be reasonable. Lovely 18m pool barely in use while we were there and set at a balmy 30C. Gorgeous grounds and although I didn't play the par 3 nine hole golf course looked to be a challenge! Would heartedly recommend and I didn't feel that the weekend tariff was unreasonable. Lovely staff. Enjoy - we did!

We spent a very enjoyable week here in this pleasant hotel on such a lovely island. The staff are first-rate. So friendly, helpful, obliging and yet professional. Jake on reception is particularly good and has an extensive knowledge of the island as well as hotels in the Hand-Picked Hotels group. We were not 100% happy with our room so were moved to a more suitable one as soon as convenient. Can't fault that!
It is true to say, as some reviewers already have, that some areas need refurbishing, but the hotel is aware of this and work is in progress. The grounds are lovely, the breakfast food is satisfactory and substantial, especially the home-made pastries which were excellent. I don't eat pork so breakfast can be limited in many hotels, but not here - plenty of choice and all very good quality. We also enjoyed the 'all-you-can-shovel-down-you' Sunday lunch which is very good value and the beef and turkey were both perfectly cooked. We did try the Victor Hugo restaurant a couple of times. The first evening there as it was convenient and again later; but frankly there are so many fabulous places to eat on Guernsey that this is a bit of an also-ran. (See my restaurant reviews for more info). Whilst it has good food on offer it really is more for convenience rather than a special occasion.
The hotel is probably one of the best on the island and we would certainly choose to stay there again.

We spent five enjoyable days staying in the St. Pierre Park hotel, St. Peter Port, Guernsey. The location is uphill outside the town, a 20 minute walk, or a bus stop outside the hotel into the town centre. Although we had our own car, it is not advisable to drive into the centre of town as it is not possible to park. The restaurant is very comfortable with good food, but very slow service. The gardens are beautiful with a lovely lake, tennis courts and relaxing walks around the grounds. The spa has a spacious indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, lounges, robes and slippers. Artistic statues surrounding the pool.
The staff are very welcoming, reception helpful, and a courtesy coach took us to the airport to fly to Alderney for the day.

A recent stay on business and overall a very pleasant experience at a very conveniently located hotel close to the island capital.

The good: Warm welcome. Breakfast are excellent with perfect service, worthy of a hotel of this size. No complaints about the cleanliness of the premises and rooms. Beautiful grounds, and facilities such as the swimming pool and jacuzzi. A gym is also available.

Downside: None

Conclusion: a very nice hotel to stay in Guernsey; would recommend.

The positives of this hotel are the grounds and the spa which are truly delightful. The location is fine, being a comfortable walk into town and well placed for buses around the Island. Less pleasing aspects relate to sleep quality and a health and safety issue. The first room allocated was 328 which appeared to be ideal. It was clean, bright, fairly spacious and had beautiful views of the lake. The downside was what initially seemed to be a rather noisy extractor fan linked to the bathroom but ignored as they usually only run for a few minutes. Only later on returning to the room did it become obvious that the engine noise was still running and appeared to be even louder. It was not from the bathroom but from a room next door. The reception staff were notified and explained that it was the exractor from the bar downstairs and would switch off at midnight., it did not and actually continued ALL night. As the headboard was attached to the adjoining wall, the noise and the vibration resulted in no sleep at all. Early next morning I spoke to the duty manager who said she would try to find another 'quieter' room. We repackaged all are belongings, went out for the morning and returned to find our cases in a top floor room overlooking the gardens. Pleasant enough but certainly tired and in need of a deep clean. Spent the whole afternoon catching up on lost sleep and not exploring the Island as planned. When getting ready for the evening meal I sat at the desk to put makeup on and the chair collapsed. As a rather petite 5'2" lady this was, to say the least, a rather unique shock. On further inspection it was found that the chair had been glued together on a previous occasion and should really have been condemned. Someone older or larger than myself could have incurred quite a serious injury rather than jus a shock. Again reception were informed and they said maintaince would be advised and a replacement chair would be provided. When checking out two days later this had still not happened.
