From the moment that we were welcomed into the hotel and shown to our beautiful Gold room by Gavin, we were impressed by the service and this only continued throughout our 3 night stay.
The Ocean Bar is a lovely place to sit and have a drink before a meal, and a lovely place to have a meal in the evening.
The Rock Garden food was absolutely divine, beautifully presented and very tasty.
The walk down to the bay is VERY steep, but worth it when you get there. Just note that during the winter months the cafe at the bottom is only open at weekends.
Throughout the stay, we were very impressed by all of the staff, in particular Ethan and Uli. They could not help us enough and made sure that our stay was homely as well as upholding a very high standard!
I don’t see at all why this hotel isn’t rated as 5* as we do not have one complaint about our stay and we will definitely be returning in the future.

It’s not often that a hotel lives up to the expectations created by their own marketing literature / website, but Fermain Valley Hotel is one of those rare exceptions which does this and more!
A wonderful position overlooking the valley down to the sea; great food, superbly appointed rooms (we had the ‘Gold’ rooms with balcony), very comfortable beds and exceptional service delivered by friendly and helpful staff. The extra touches, including the complimentary mini bus service and decanter of sherry in your room, just add to the delights of this hotel: I cannot recommend it highly enough.

this hotel and its staff are all top class,!
superb throughout. from front of house to handyman, not to mention how fab the invisible cleaner of my room was.
Nothing is / was too much trouble for any of the staff.

Had the opportunity to stay overnight here while on the island for business. Got to the hotel late but welcomed and shown to the room in the annex. Little walk to the main hotel through the gardens which was fine. But perhaps. It so nice if it’s raining!

Pleasant surroundings in the restaurant over looking the terrace. The menu selection is not huge but quite varied. Had the chicken which was nice.... The service was pleasant........that's it really....nice and pleasant restaurant.....but there are better options at this hotel

My partner and I stayed in Guernsey for a long weekend. The hotel is located outside St Peter Port in a quiet valley with amazing gardens. The town centre is a 30min walk downhill however the hotel offers a free shuttle bus which we used frequently (need to book to ensure it is available). There is a bus stop a 5min walk from the hotel however the services aren't frequent on weekends.
Our room was in the main hotel at the of the building with a lovely dual aspect but the air conditioning units were just outside one of the windows. The room itself was big and had all amenities.
The hotel has several restaurants/bars and a tea room which are a good option if you don't want to travel into St Peter Port.
Overall, we had a lovely and relaxing stay and would recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a quiet place.

Good location with excellent views! Range of restaurants, superb breakfast! Very good service, airport and town courtesy car too! Well worth a visit when in Guernsey. Offers good value too! Rooms are good quality and spacious!

Fermain valley hotel gets it right on many level. The decor in the bedrooms and common areas is spot on. Classy and understated which makes for a relaxing time. The courtesy taxi is a God send and Paulo a little gem. Hope he has had his baby now! Gorgeous little library-snug. Lovely breakfast too. Will definitely return.

We have just returned from the Fermain Valley Hotel having spent Christmas here.
It was clear from the moment we the;phoned the hotel that service was a pride they valued.This service was re echoed for the whole of our stay from start to finish.The Ocean Restaurant staff gave excellent service with a smile and conversation and at all times showed interest in their guests. My wife had a couple of days illness and they enquired of her and were only to pleased to offer extra service.The set menu if your tastes are reduced could be limiting for a longer stay, but I spoke to Vlad the catering
manager who is set on increasing he ranges. Customer satisfaction is extremely high on his list of priorities.The Rock Garden restaurant offered excellent steaks, try the Brazilian Fillet. Our Silver room was well appointed, clean & tidy and well looked after with a complimentary decanter of Sherry and fruit as a welcome treat. Also, ,unlike some hotels tea and coffee facilities were fully & plentifully serviced . The Tea Room is useful for light snacks tea & coffee and a small lounge, and if a book is required a cruise liner style library is well appointed. I did have a problem on one day, this was discussed at a meeting with the manager and section manager and the outcome was very professionally dealt with to my satisfaction. The courtesy cars were an excellent addition to our satisfaction, even when for £1 you can travel any distance on the local buses which stop nearby. Finally a fully equipped cinema with a library of fils is available to see your favourite film on a big screen.. One can only compliment the staff and management on a business that makes it's mark through customer satisfaction and confidence.

My husband and I have stayed at Fermain Valley a few times and decided to stay slightly longer this time for Christmas & New Year. We are always happy to return and I have already emailed to enquire future availability. The staff are always friendly and show an interest in your stay. Christmas lunch was served in Ocean Restaurant. We chose different options for our courses but everything was superb and the service and live music was excellent. Boxing Day dinner was served in The Rock Garden and again the service and food was excellent. It was really nice to have a change of venue for Boxing Day dinner – just for a change of scenery and also to sample the amazing steaks they have on offer. The guest lounge is very comfortable and the tea room has an amazing selection of cakes. Breakfast selection has plenty of options and is served with a smile and excellent customer service. The trimmings as part of the Christmas package (hot toddy on the beach, Christmas stocking, Herm boat trip, Christmas films and Queens Speech in the cinema) were lovely extras. We had a platinum room which was extremely well furnished and luxurious – so comfortable we didn’t want to return home. To us this hotel feels a home from home and that’s why we keep coming back. Thank you to Gavin, Claire, Daniel, Viera, Greg, Danny, Josh B, and the rest of the Fermain Family for looking after us so well and making our reservation so easy and our stay so relaxing and memorable. See you again soon.
