The National Trust of Guernsey’s great community event, Lé Viaër Marchi, takes place this year on Monday 2nd July 2018, from 5.00pm until sunset at Saumarez Park.
You're sure to see lots of familiar faces amongst the visitors and stallholders at "Guernsey's great get-together". On this one Summer evening Saumarez Park, at the heart of Guernsey, resonates with a vibrant crowd and the very best of Island music and song. For many this is a widely anticipated annual get together, where friends and families catch up, year after year.
Lé Viaër Marchi is a vivacious interpretation of The Old (Guernsey) Market. For thousands of islanders and visitors alike this is an opportunity to enjoy and celebrate the heritage of Guernsey through song, dance and music, side stalls, showcases of Island crafts and the ever popular food stalls of traditional Island food.
Brass bands, folk bands, traditional Guernsey dancing and songs. Stallholders, Punch and Judy, Crown and Anchor, Island heritage craft demonstrations, Beanjar, Gâche, Guernsey Biscuits, Rocquette Cider and much more.
Bian V’nus à Tous!
Entrance costs £6. As part of this year's special focus on children and family fun, all children under the age of 15, accompanied by an adult, will enjoy free entry to the event. There is also free entry to The National Trust of Guernsey’s Museum at Saumarez Park too.
