Since 1994 Sula Framing & Gallery have gained recognition locally for exhibiting high quality local artwork, and for providing exhibition and conservation quality picture framing services at a reasonable cost.

Location

Our gallery space is airy and filled with natural light as the building was previously a church. The main entrance has steps, but we can provide disabled access through a side door. (please call 01481 245396 on arrival)

There is ample customer parking and the gallery is also easily accessible from the Sandy Lane bus stop, about halfway between the nearby L'Islet Crossroads and the Marks & Spencer Food Hall on Route Carre.

Framing

Sula Framing & Gallery provide a professional picture framing service that is exhibition quality and suited to long term conservation of artwork. Indeed our clients include the Guernsey Museum and Art Gallery, Government House, The Guernsey Arts Commission, The Royal Court, and many local businesses.

Where possible we use only conservation or museum quality mounts of which we stock an impressive selection, archival barrier card is always fitted between paper artwork and backing boards. We are always happy to advise / help customers in making their choices so that the framing will complement both the artwork and the decor of the room where it will hang.  Customers are always given a firm quotation on their choice prior to our commencing the work.

No piece is too big or too small for us. Please feel free to contact us no matter whether you are framing a single picture or a large number of pieces. We recently hired another highly experienced staff member, previously working for many years at “Frame Craft” which has now sadly closed. Our rates are reasonable and very competitive locally, please feel free to contact us or pop in for a quote.

Gallery

Whether you are visiting our gallery in person or on the internet via our website, we endeavour to make your experience with Sula as enjoyable as possible. We sell a huge array of original artwork in various media and styles, mostly works by local artists including our own Hayley Mallett, Sula’s Co-owner, who has a BA (Hons) in Textile Design. We also show work by international artists as well.

Gallery space can be reserved for bespoke exhibitions with reasonable commission rates. We also hold evening workshops and craft groups from time to time, including spinning - keep an eye on our social media accounts linked in the sidebar.
