Greenwich Council is aiming to deliver services as usual during the strikes, but many schools are closed.
Trade Unions representing many council staff have confirmed their intention to take industrial action today.
There will be no residential waste collection service, however collections on other days will be made as usual this week.
Today’s collections will be made next Wednesday instead.
A number of schools and classes in Greenwich are to be closed as a result of strike action taken by teaching staff.
