Expect somthing spectacular at Blackheath Bonfire 2011

Bonfire Night also knowns as Fireworks Night and Guy Fawkes Night is celebrated in London and across the UK on Novenmber the 5th. This an event that includes a series of spectarfireworks displays in the parks and public places across London.

The tradition of Guy Fawkes-related bonfires actually began the same year as the failed coup. The plot was failed in the night between the 4th and the 5th of Novenmber. Londoners at the time was so pleased that their King had been saved that they jhoyfully lit bonfires in thanksgiving. The celebration then becameĀ  more elaborate as the years progressed.

The Blackheath fireworks display is one of the most popular fireworks displayed in London. Every year it brings a lot of colour and lightt to the skies of Blackheath and surrounding areas in a truely dazzling display of fireworks.It is believed that an estimated 100,000 people would attend South London's biggest and best free Fire works display this year, as this year marks the 406th anniversary of the Gunpowder plot and as such,visitors to Blacheath should expect somthing special in one of London's most famous fireworks display events. Admission are free and visitors would be able to enjoy the funfair,food stalls and a fully licenced bar before and after the display.

The Blackheath fireworks display takes place on saturday the 5th of November 2011 with the fireworks due to begin at 8pm. Entry is free for all
