Sarah Rollins set herself an amazing challenge before her 40th Birthday in July 2016 - to run 40km for 40 consecutive days before her 40th Birthday.

And to raise money for charity too. Initially she set out to raise £404.40 but this was quickly surpassed. So a new target was set, this time £4,040.40.

Her runs included the hills(!) in and around Farnham, Park runs, a Brutal run starting at 3am and she even ran on her brother's wedding day.

Sarah finally finished her challenge on 13 July with a Finishing party held at The Barley Mow in Tilford for friends, family and supporters.

Sarah was running for 3 charities

  • Walking with the wounded: As an ex-Army doctor who works for the MOD at the Regional Rehabilitation Unit in Aldershot for injured serving service personnel Sarah wanted to raise funds for this charity who retrain and re-skill our wounded and support them in finding new careers outside the Military. • The World Wildlife Fund
  • Waverley Abbey School locally with their campaign to riase funds for the building of new Year 6 classrooms.
As someone said to me, "Sarah is a huge inspiration and lifelong friend to my family. She will go over and beyond to ensure a job is done. She’s had a lot of friends run with her to keep her company and they all deserve a huge pat on the back too."
