Shoppers in Fleet enjoyed a surprise visit from local charity Starburst Foundation on Saturday 3rd June.
As well as meeting the cast of Starburst’s latest production of ‘Legally Blonde,’ a competition was launched inviting members of the public to take a selfie with cut outs of Elle, the main character in the show, played by Ashleigh Hiscox.
The window decals are still placed around the town in supporting shop windows offering a chance to enter the competition to win tickets to a performance night. So go get your #elleselfie on in Fleet Highstreet.
Hayley Poulter from Starburst Foundation said, "As a charity one of the ways we raise funds is through our productions, which supports our mission of helping local children with special needs and disabilities to achieve their full potential.
"Following the move to Fleet with SnowWhite the pantomime last year, panto auditions this year are on June 24th and we encourage the lovely people of Fleet and surrounding areas to come and join the wonderful Theatre team!
Aside from the Charity's work, Starburst's theatre team creates an opportunity for young people to gain confidence through performance, so new performers are always welcome.
The summer production of Legally Blonde, running July 4th-9th at The Harlington in Fleet, and the pantomime again this year will raise much needed funds and add to over £29,000 raised by Starburst Foundation over the last 3 years to help local children.
