Charles Waite-Roberts grew up in Hampshire and attended the Grey House school in Hartley Wintney.  He started rowing aged 14 and, now 21 he is training for the Olympic games in 2016 and 2020.

He rows out of the Leander Club at Henley and has won a silver medal in the under 23 World championships twice.

In November 2014 he competed in the National trials in the 5,000m time trial and came second overall out of 70 entrants - just 10 seconds behind the winner.

His aim is to raise £8,000 to purchase a single scull to support his training.
