Happy Bank Holiday!
1st May 2015
... Comments

So, good news from today! Not only are we just about to embark on a Bank Holiday weekend, but from today (1st May 2015) if you are flying with children under the age of 12 then they will not have to pay any Air Passenger Duty (APD) when departing the UK.

That’s a saving of anything from £13 for a short haul flight up to a whopping £97 in long haul in economy!

Not only that, but from March 2016 it will be extended to all children under 16 in all seats including those seated in premium cabins (and yes, some children do actually fly in Business or First!).

Now, if you’ve been ultra-organised and already booked travel departing from today and your airline or travel agent has not reimbursed you, then make contact with them to claim your money back.

So that only leaves you to decide on how to spend the extra money........

Treat the kids?
