The station that loves Surrey and Hampshire is once again hosting a special awards ceremony to recognise the region’s community heroes.

Now in its fifth year, Eagle Radio’s Local Heroes event promises an exciting evening with special guests and top class entertainment.

This year’s celebration will be held at G Live in Guildford on September 27th.

But to make it happen the station needs your nominations.

Do you know someone who’s changed the lives of those in their community or volunteered countless hours to charity?

Perhaps they’re a neighbour who goes above and beyond, or a young person who acts as a role model for those around them.

Heroes come with many faces and Eagle Radio’s Local Heroes sits across eleven categories. They are as follows:

Teaching Award

Recognising the very best of local teaching talent; the people who inspire others to learn and achieve their best.

Young Person Award

We are looking for exceptional young people who use their time to make a difference and inspire their peers.

Music and Arts Award

Celebrating the success of local talent.

Inspiration in Business Award

Recognising businesses and business people who innovate and engage staff and the local community through their work.

Lifetime Achievement Award

An award for an inspirational individual who, over a long period of time, has given exceptional service and dedication to the local community.

Neighbour Award

Recognising those who go the extra mile in their community.

Charity Award

Awarding an organisation who provide dedicated commitment and extraordinary contributions to the community.

Military and Emergency Services Awards

Open to serving members, veterans and community supporters of locally bases Armed Forces as well as those to contribute to Fire, Ambulance and Police services.

Special Award

Recognising truly exceptional, life changing achievements.

Sports Award

Open to professional and amateur individuals, school teams and clubs from the local area.

Volunteer Award

Rewarding an individual who provides dedicated commitment and extraordinary contributions to the community.
