Nadia, the new landlady of The Alexandra Pub, Farnborough has really given the pub a new lease of life. The pub has been refurbished, bought up to date and with renovations still going on to the 4 rooms upstairs you can be sure they’ll look every inch as good as the pub downstairs.

I popped into The Alexandra Pub last week to try some of the food which sounded amazing, calamari fritti, garlic and black pepper scotch eggs to seafood linguine and mixed berry eton mess, there was such an amazing selection I wanted to try it all!

I settled with a selection of starters (I did dine with someone else, although I was feeling quite hungry!) including calamari fritti, garlic and black pepper scotch egg and local cheese and onion tart. All these dishes were truly amazing, the flavours throughout we're wonderful and I would absolutely recommend the scotch eggs which are my absolute favourite.

I then went on to try the 8oz beef burger with hand cut skin on chips and my partner had the seafood linguine which looked and smelt fantastic. My burger was to die for and to know that all the meat is bought locally from Woods Butchers was even better.

The Alexandra also do a selection of sandwiches for lunch on their snack menu, along with sides and share option, you really will be spoilt for choice.

I would highly recommend the food, service and ambience in the pub - make sure you go and try the food - you really won't want to leave!
