Nipped in here for a pint early doors as my hotel was full of partying pensioners, saw the menu, saw the food being served and decided to eat here instead.
Beautiful food and well portioned and presented. Lovely warm pub. Staff and locals friendly. It gets boring working away but this pub more than makes up for it. Recommended.

We ate here on 18/11/2016 for evening meal, we ordered a platter to share, The food was well presented, came out quickly and tasted very good. We stayed and had a few drinks.
They had a live band on and the pub had a very nice friendly atmosphere.The bar staff were friendly and efficient.
We enjoyed our time in the pub so decided to come back for breakfast the following day.The food came out reasonably quickly and on the whole was very good.
However the Tomato sauce that was brought out was inedible.I have never had the misfortune of tasting any illuminous red goo as bad as this stuff in my life, it was disgusting. It had the consistency of watered down kids paint. and the colour like it had been made in a nuclear power plant.
Luckily they had HP Brown sauce.The rest of the breakfast was nice.
We spoke to the waitress about the sauce and she said she was going to tell the people in charge.We came back in the evening for a few beers and to watch the Footy and ended up staying the until late.
Again the bar staff were brilliant, even though the pub was quite busy they were quick , efficient and very friendly.I hope the boss appreciates the quality of there staff as we visited 3 other pubs in the vicinity and did not get good service.

great pub near to the Pier and beach , good quality food nicely priced , Pub was heaving with people watching Rugby which was nice too see its not a quiet quaint one , cant fault it

Here in Eastbourne for a two night weekend break. Checked the reviews before booking a table here. Great reviews. Lovely home cooked meal, good live entertainment and very friendly staff. Great atmosphere. Could do with something like this closer to home.

Had Sunday lunch today for mother-in-laws birthday.
Everyone's food was hot, well presented & excellent with a good selection of veg with the meals.Menu was ok but the selection off the special board catered for all tastes.
Young staff very polite & efficient. Would recommend and will come back again.
Worth booking a table in advance as it was very busy.

I've eaten here once before for lunch. Again this time the staff were friendly and pleasant. Choice of food is good and portions are plentiful.
