Just returned today from a long weekend at this Hotel. I’ve done 15 or more group bookings and this hotel gave us the warmest welcome of any we’ve ever been to before. From the moment we arrived we knew we were on to a winner…. Greeted by reception team and before we were all in the hotel our cases were being brought in. Every traveller (there were 32) got exactly the rooms requested on our rooms list. Rooms were clean, beds comfortable and rooms serviced daily. This is not a ‘posh’ hotel but for the price we paid, we well and truly got more than expected. Valentina and Steve? (Sorry- I’m dreadful at names) filled us in on meal times and when we arrived at dinner we were not disappointed with our food. The fish was so tasty (different fish on each day), some of us had fish on all 3 dinners. Any special dietary needs were met and no request was a problem. Evening entertainment was fab. Each night different but no less enjoyable. We were the only coach party there but a few interesting private booking also booked here. This hotel is prime position - right by the pier and really deserves to be busier. Give these guys a try - you won’t regret it. One point to note….spirit and wine prices at the bar were a bit steep, but bbeer & ciders seemed about right.

Had a great 3 nights. Lovely helpful staff. Couple of problems, sorted quickly. Buffet breakfast kept us going all day. Great location.

Stayed here with the wife for our 35th wedding anniversary, the staff were superb, friendly and helpful, we had an upgrade to a superior room, which was fantastic, would definitely recommend staying here and the wife and I will be visiting again.

We have just returned from a lovely break with Just Go at this hotel .From on our arrival we were treated so very well from all the staff at the Afton.we stayed in Room 5 very roomy with a big bed our food was tasty and such big portions we had to ask for a smaller plate.Our entertainment was very good every night .location was perfect. Thank you all very much and we hope to come back again very soon .

very impressive looking from the outside. We had a refurbished sea view room. The lifts are interesting. Car parking £6 a day. Staff shortages and bar upgrade made things a little difficult. Excellent breakfast and very attentive staff. Evening entertainment.

Couldnt fault the staff when phoning to book a skip for my elderly relatives. Having never ordered a skip before I didnt know what I was talking about but the staff were very kind and patient. I was talked through different sizes and prices until I decided which one was best for me. The skip arrived the same day that I ordered it and a very friendly driver fitted it nicely on the driveway. I would definitely use Haulaway again if I ever need another skip. Its just a shame they don't fill it up for you aswell!!!

Used the grab lorry to have some soil taken away from a driveway we are replacing. Driver has some serious skills, impressive to watch, top bloke. Good price too, would recommend to anyone.
