The Crown and Anchor did my roller derby team's Christmas party, and have hosted us for other functions, and their hosting is great. They put us on an amazing spread for a reasonable price, catering for a range of dietary requirements and there was a great atmosphere for karaoke afterwards.
I'd highly recommend it, particularly for their delicious food!

We came here for a Christmas party for our roller derby team. Our party consisted of 25-30 people who are a mix of omnivores, veggies and vegans. The food provided was fantastic, the veggies and vegans were having to defend their food from the meat eaters as it was so good. Heidi and her staff were brilliant, really took care of us and we followed our meal with dancing and karaoke late into the night. Definitely going to become our regular party palace! Can't recommend enough :)

Dropped-in for a quick drink on a cold January late afternoon. lovely warm spiced cider, comfy seating. Pub was welcoming and full of character (and a few local characters!). Menu looked good, and reasonably priced. Unfortunately we weren't able to stay for a meal.

having to work in eastbourne for a few months we were lucky to get in a b&b on the front and this pub was just around the corner . the food is excellent and reasonably priced very good if your on a budget the beer is of good quality and we found the bar staff very helpful and chatty something you dont find in many pubs much . sky sports on three tvs and two pool tables kept up occupied all in all a very good pub

the Roast beef dinner was tasty, served quickly after ordering and we felt welcome and there was no pressure from any of the staff, tThe staff were friendly towards us which is all we ask when we go out.

This bar near the Sea Beech House Hotel was about the only place in Eastbourne with any atmosphere on the Saturday night in March when we visited. Very friendly staff, very reasonably priced wide range of drinks and and excellent band. It's a shame we decided to venture elsewhere only to find we should have stayed put. They regularly have live music and well worth a visit

Had lunch here on saturday and it was just what we needed. It was freezing cold outside and we wanted something hot and thats what we got. I had chilli con carne with rice and chips which came with garlic bread, and it was very tasty and piping hot. Mum had lamb of lamb with all the trimmings, very nice and lots of it. Friend had pork and said it was lovely. Well worth a visit and very reasonable. Ok menu but huge daily specials board. Will be back next time i'm in eastbourne
