Good friendly service if a little slow at dinner times. Clean comfortable rooms but some areas could do with a lick of paint. Entertainment impossible to see from some areas but this could be improved with a large TV and a camera on the act

Took ages to get our room keys. Have been here several times before and there has always been
Some form of entertainment in the evenings,there was nothing on Friday, a keyboard player for 2hours on Saturday and nothing on Sunday. Food not so good as it usually is.
Will think twice before going there again.

The Hotel is situated on the seafront near to the Pier and within easy walking distance from the town centre. With it being an old building some parts need some TLC. I am not sure sure it is worth paying the price for a room upgrade for what you get. Most hotels I have stayed in provide shower gel and toiletries in the bathroom here you either take your own or they will sell you some. Breakfast was very good with a reasonable choice. Evening meal had a small choice of main courses which where ok but nothing special. Evening entertainment was better on some nights than others. Overall I would rather pay a bit extra and stay in a Coast & Country hotel which I think are far better than Bay Hotels.

Lovely hotel and very friendly staff. Clean, good food and entertainment. Brilliant position on sea front opposite the pier. Lovely room with a sea view. Would come back again to Eastbourne. Pictures from my room and the pier.

Stayed here with the wife for our 35th wedding anniversary, the staff were superb, friendly and helpful, we had an upgrade to a superior room, which was fantastic, would definitely recommend staying here and the wife and I will be visiting again.

Staff very friendly and nothing too much trouble, rooms clean and all despite recent fire next door. Porter staff, Callum treated luggage with respect and Mark/evening entertainment very good. Coach driver very knowledgeable making holiday even more enjoyable. All this after adjacent fire and it being their first week open. My cousin and I have thoroughly enjoyed our 5 day stay through Shearings

I like the old hotels we stay at when we travel with Shearings the rooms are lovely, lounge bars and dining rooms are nice but the corridors could do with a bit of an upgrade. I know we only have to walk through the corridors to get to the cosy rooms but its 1st impressions. The staff at the hotels so far have all been lovely. Our waiter at the Burlington was lovely, thanks to him our mealtimes were nice and relaxed.
