Hotel is in a good location on the seafront close to the pier.
It's appearance on the outside looks tired and is in need of a refresh. Also inside, the carpets are in need of replacing. Room was a good size but the windows were filthy and single-glazed so it would be freezing in the winter and you could hear outside noise.

Some areas tatty in need of attention, breakfast very poor, little or no continental choice, hot choices not replenished regularly, biggest disappointment was size of en-suite bathroom very tiny crammed in near impossible area, positive note excellent location, staff very helpful.

Shower doors needed replacing a bit flaky round the edges. Bathroom very narrow, not practical if using a walking aid. Not enough lifts.
Staff very friendly.
Plenty of areas to sit quietly with a good book.

The Burlington Hotel in Eastbourne leaves much to be desired. While the staff are generally pleasant, there is an evident shortage of personnel, particularly in the breakfast room, which can lead to delays and an overall rushed experience.

The most significant issue, however, is the hotel's condition. It feels extremely dated, reminiscent of a bygone era, and is in desperate need of a complete renovation. The outdated decor, worn-out furnishings, and lack of modern amenities make for an uncomfortable stay.

Overall, unless major renovations are undertaken, it's best to avoid this hotel.

I liked the spaciousness and ambiance of yester-year. The dining facilities were well presented with a good choice of food, especially at breakfast. My bedroom and ensuite were pleasant and a good size - not sure of my bed though!

We always make the best of anywhere that we stay and although we had a comfortable 4 night stay at the Burlington, it is obvious that the hotel is in desperate need of a complete refurb throughout and generally in need of a jolly good clean. Our room was spacious with a fantastic view of the pier and sea, even though the windows were filthy!! The bedding was fresh and clean and the condiments tray refreshed daily. Breakfasts were satisfactory with a limited range of food on offer. All staff were friendly , polite and helpful. The Burlington is in a great location, close to all amenities including bus routes, trains , theatres, pier, beach and shops and I’m sure that it was very grand years ago. Here’s hoping that the owners can restore its grandeur in the not too distant future.
