Overall a nice hotel, in a great location
Plenty of choice for breakfast. Nice room although one bed sloped as a foot was missing.
Very squeaky floorboards and bathroom floor was very uneven.

For the price we paid, we can’t really complain. It’s a very old hotel that needs a good spruce up.
The location is excellent. It’s right on the beach front and very close to the town centre.
The room was too hot and the bed was the perfect size- if you are a hobbit!

Great location, staff were friendly and helpful.
Faded grandeur describes this hotel, the elevators were cramped and the restaurant served some of the worst coffee I have ever tried for breakfast.

Very good, as I say, will probably stay again and book a sea view room
A lovely traditional Victorian Hotel, which I loved. Staff lovely, breakfast excellent, location excellent - very central
The standard double room at the back of the hotel was very noisy. We could hear the kitchen fan from about 5.00am and it was unbearable. We had to move rooms and was put in a standard double room at the top of the hotel which was also very noisy, we could hear the fan and the sash windows rattled all night with the wind, it needed a bolt added to it. We feel rooms so near the kitchen fan should not be assigned to guests, only if we are pre-warned and they should have a massive discount. Would have to book a sea view front room if we stayed again, which would affect the price.

Bar at weekend closes too early. Called last Orders at 10.45 p.m. on a Saturday night.
