Love this pub. Everytime we are in Eastbourne visiting our family we try & get in here. Staff are super friendly & helpful .
It does get full & sometimes you are best to reserve if its later in the day but that just shows what a great pub it is. Couldn't get in here Boxing day so had to go the Duke of Devonshire. Bad move. Avoid. Rude staff, not helpful. Customer service awful. We asked for a little less puree on our pizza & the chef came out saying he wasn't doing it. We had a bit of trouble with him & a barman & they told us to get out & threw our money back at us we were a party of 4 adults a baby & a dog. Please don't entertain the Duke of Devonshire. Just come here to the Crown & Anchor opposite the seafront. Can't go wrong with a huge selection of alcohol. Drinks & lovely food served with a smile .

We went with our 2 daughters and partner, 2 grandchildren age 3 and 5, we all had a fantastic afternoon, well suited for adults and kids alike , a really magical time, the theatre is looking beautiful, the cast fantastic as usual and all the supportive helpers do such a good job,
I can not praise this theatre enough we love going see you next Christmas

Friendly people seeing us in and to our seats. Lovely theatre. Good bar for the interval 😊 It is an old building so one has to make allowances for the toilet flushing or not but they said they'd sort it. 😅 Great panto time had by all.

Traditional decor, reasonably priced breakfasts and prompt,polite staff which deserve to be topped for that reason alone. My eggs were a little too runny and the hash browns a little over cooked but otherwise a very nice breakfast and I do realise that is personal preference.
