Beautiful, big sea front hotel. Very concerned when online check in was not working and couldn’t get hold of hotel but there wasn’t anything to worry about as staff on site.
Great location, traditional Victorian (I believe) building and representative of the local area. Has a holiday feel as sea views and lots of coach parties.

A room for two for not much more than we pay to pitch a tent these days!
Great location by pier and near town. Lots of eateries nearby. Easy to find.
The car park is behind and £6 a night lasting until 3pm on day of checkout.
We took our dog and she was allowed in all areas. There's a designated corner in the dining room.
The room was nice. Better than expected after reading some of the reviews on here. We had tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer, iron and board
There was hand wash and shower gel ..both provided from dispensers. Shower nice and warm. Room very warm. A bit too warm at times but it was about 2° outside.
There was some noise from floorboards.
Decor seen better days in places.

We pop in for a drink regularly but it’s years since we have eaten here so we decided to book in for a Sunday roast with the family ahead of my birthday. Food was great ( we had roast beef and roast turkey with extra gravy and cauliflower cheese) plenty of veg, tasty gravy and generous servings. Service is always great here even if you are just having a drink but today was exceptional - really made the meal special thank you.

Superb, lovely traditional theatre. I believe that volunteers contribute a huge amount to the running of the hippodrome, and their passion and love for the place is evident.
Have only sat in the stalls on my 3 previous visits, so plan to try the upper circle next time, however the theatre is a real hidden gem.

Staff are friendly and helpful. The room is clean and comfortable. There is parking at the rear of the hotel.
Reasonably priced for the location. Will stay here again, and would recommend it to anyone.

We recently watched the Christmas panto Snow White, which was really good fun. The children enjoyed it and there were plenty of laughs for the grown ups too.
The theatre itself is lovely, very nostalgic, and the staff are all ultra friendly and helpful.
